Experience the Colony VR’s “The Music Box” in the VR lounge at Silicon Valley’s Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival 2019, March 5-17.

Participants at AMP NYC were given a sneak preview of The Colony VR’s Music Box in late 2018. Created by David Gaddie, this is the first piece in The Colony’s efforts to merge live action storytelling with immersive VR.
The Colony collaborated with The Bootstrap Agency and director Riley Hooper to deliver a series of spots publicizing the landmark autism research project, SPARK.
The Colony shot and produced a short film for International Women’s Day for food & technology company Salido, who hosted the 2018 Girls Who Code annual gala at their Broadway campus.
Director Hughes William Thompson and Ogilvy, Atlanta created a festival film for the AJFF 2018 – a cautionary tale about mobile devices and small screen disconnection in the modern world. Click through for more!

We went to the festival of the future, MOOGFEST in Durham, NC, to shoot for an upcoming documentary for Vice’s new vertical Free that will explore how creative innovation is reshaping culture. Edit and VFX currently hammering away at our post-house Afterparty, look out for the doc to launch on the new vertical later this summer.
Congratulations to Elias Saliba and his VFX team at The Colony / Afterparty for winning Best FX at GenreBlast and following up with so many awards, including BEST SCIFI SHORT at the SENE Film Festival last week for Beautiful Dreamer. The film has now been invited to screen at 35 festivals in the US and around the world and garnered a dozen prestigious awards.
Congratulations to the film Medal of Victory produced by The Colony and finished at Afterparty, directed by Joshua Moise and featuring memorable performances from iconic actors Richard Riehle and Jack O’Connell. Special engagement screening and Q&A at Nitehawk Tuesday, March 28th.
Colony director Hughes William Thompson’s hilarious and eccentric short film “Horn” went live on Vimeo today and became an instant Staff Pick. The short film won a Jury Prize at Nashville Film Festival. Check it out here.
