Stella’s enchantix is gorgeous 💫
Princesses of Domino
I did not expect that cosmix redesign would became THAT popular…LETS CONTINUE
Tecna Cosmix redesign🪐👾
COSMIX SUCKS so i decided to completely redesign it✨
Stella is my first victim for that. Feels like from season 5(?) Winx started to loose spark in their transformations. Like, when u look at cosmix can you tell that THIS is designed for space travel? They just added a bunch of stars and call it a day. For my redesign I took inspiration from LOL Space Groove skinline (I love this line). It just screams futuristic fashion which cosmix does not. So, here we are, Stella the disco diva🫦✨

another birthday AU-canon!
Zenith: Your birthday is a day of rest. You're legally entitled to take the day off school or work (with pay) and people are expected to make sure you don't have to do any chores or anything unpleasant. If you're at work and someone comes in and says it's their birthday, you can insist that you HAVE to help them carry that empty basket, and your boss will roll his eyes and take over the cash register for you
On paper, Zenethi birthdays aren't especially celebratory; they're more supposed to be about reflection. You relax, meditate on your accomplishments and let go of your failures from the last year, think about what you want to change in the next year, etc. In practice, however, it is unspoken tradition to treat birthdays as state-sanctioned hangover recovery periods. You party HARD the night before and call your friend's bosses the next morning to get them excused to 'assist you'
Children don't drink of course, but once they're old enough that 'a day off school with no chores' stops being exciting, they are usually allowed to stay out past their bedtime to hang out with their friends, sneak into places they shouldn't be, etc. Zenith generally has a strong culture of 'healthy rebellion' so young teens sneaking into nightclubs is widely considered a rite of passage
finally coming back with more AU birthday traditions!
Andros: EVERYONE you know is invited. Your teacher, your boss, your dog, every barista who knows your name, because a big party is a status symbol, and it's just more fun. Most parents start guestbooks for their babies to track how many people they meet each year, and most people keep those guestbooks until they're either dead or have met everyone in their town (it will be used for their funeral too).
The birthday person's job is to clean and decorate their home and send invitations, and the guests bring the feast. After everyone finishes eating, there is a highly scripted tradition: the guests ask their host if everything was to their liking, and the host says no (depending on the region the guests might get something wrong on purpose, or the host will just make up something to complain about) and the guests beg forgiveness and ask if there's anything they can do to make amends for this transgression. At this point the host may ask anything of their guests, who are collectively responsible for filling that request (newlyweds usually ask for a house).
The sitting ruler of Andros has a twist on this tradition. A town is chosen at 'random' to host their feast (MUCH bribery involved) and at the end, the ruler asks if there's anything THEY can do to thank the locals for the party. There are restrictions on what can be requested in this case, otherwise the capital would move every year. When the heir starts training formally to take over the sitting ruler will start to criticize the parties, and the heir will argue that they're being unfair and the town does deserve a boon, which is intended to start building their reputation as a benevolent ruler
they're so gay
Please tell me there's more loophole stuff in your lore, it's so funny.
Normal booty shorts? Ew get out of here with that sinful idea heretic. We only respect the divine dragon's holy battle Daisy dukes here.
Damn, Marion and Oritel must've been devastated to hear that Bloom's favorite food in the entire world is pizza. (A food made up entirely of different preserved foods, and for insult to injury, traditionally has pepperoni, a salted and preserved meat.)
Y'know, I respect cultures that try not to waste an animal's sacrifice, or even eat bugs. But this anon isn't sure their western palate could ever do the same.
I imagine bone broth is very popular on Domino though? Maybe one way for all the cultures to get together is to make some kind of awesome soup or stew using parts of every culture's cuisine....
Off the top of my head -
Andros, Domino, and Eraklyon have strict modesty standards except for “divinely inspired” fairy forms
On Eraklyon makeup on your face is appropriate and expected, but painting your nails makes you loose and is associated with prostitution. You are also a whore if you wear pants, unless your husband or male relatives give you explicit permission to do so. Diaspro and Sky got in a screaming march about her wanting a pair of pants because he was worried people would think she’s a slut and put her in danger… even though the thought never crossed his mind when his female friends were wearing jeans. His sister wanting pants? That’s different. Monica told Sky the decision was hers, not his, and Diaspro could have a pair of pants so long as it wasn’t form fitting.
On Andros showing your belly is fine but showing your legs is inappropriate. Unless you’re swimming, then you’re expected to just take all garments below the waist off - however this is due to Androsian people being able to grow tails in the water. It’s not considered immodest to show mermaid tail. So imagine everyone’s intense panic when they went to the beach with Aisha and the first thing she does is dive into the water then chuck her shorts out towards the beach. Nobody saw anything btw, she immediately grew a tail upon being submerged, but without that context it looked really weird.
On Melody, tragedy is extremely monetizable, so people become successful then don’t use their success to help fix the systemic issues that created their trauma because trauma makes good art.
Zenithi people love franchises like Fallout, Cyberpunk, and other art that heavily critiques capitalism but don’t have the media literacy to realized they’re being critiqued because they’re caught up on “ha, cool giant robot and guns!”
Marion and Oritel were at least familiar with pizza because they used to vacation on Gardenia - that’s how Daphne knew it was a safe place to send Bloom! But yeah, the amount of cheese alone served to them at Mike and Vanessa’s house was difficult, they’re both lactose intolerant. Bloom is too but takes her meds.
Bone broth is served with almost every meal and is one of the first things babies start eating when they’re being weaned. It’s also a very safe bet for guests. They eat a lot of soup for that reason. Soup for guests. Unless the guest is Stella, then they just feed her whatever because she’ll eat it.
And I totally get you, eating on Domino or Lymphea would mess with me. They eat their own pets on Lymphea because it’s considered disrespectful to the animal you loved to waste their body when they die. Lympheans are extremely in tune with the cycle of life or death so eating animals they raised and loved when they pass is considered normal. Using them to fertilize plants is normal. They do not bury dead people, they leave them in the forest to return to nature where they will rot, fertilize the plants, and feed the animals. Meanwhile Dominese people see something still moving and are like “challenge accepted”.
You're a scientist?? Cool!! Big brain energy!!
Tbh I think magic systems that are simple yet complex are interesting when you explain why science exists too.
Like for example, in Fire Emblem there's nonmagical and magical healing.
Nonmagical healing is more about prevention and is more accessible, while magical healing is more about response and requires magic study.
Winx's inconsistency with magic when it wasn't just generic shields and beams really opens up many questions on what magic can do and it's limits.
Especially because in the base show fairy dust was op and witches didn't have a version to balance it like they're apparently supposed to in the magical universe or whatever.
Don’t celebrate me, I’m a student and not a very good one still lol. But I do hope to get better so I can do research into women’s health.
My personal take on healing magic is that it accelerates the natural healing processes to a rapid rate, but that means you still need medical training to set and clean the wound or you’ll heal it improperly, cause an infection, or even cripple the person.
Fairy Dust in my lore has a quirk where the stronger your connection to the individual getting a dose of dust, the more likely it is to work. And some spells can only be broken by a loved one because of their psychological toll on the mind.
I haven’t thought about what a witch equivalent would be to Fairy Dust but they should absolutely get one! Maybe they have a benevolent version of Valtor’s mark where they can leave a personalized rune on someone to override hexes and protect them?
Catching up on the lore drops and tbh I think the Madoka Magica inspo is really clever and a good starting point for ideas for the sirenix curse.
I think the idea of someone being forced to face their flaws/weaknesses is always interesting to see for a character.
This all sounds like it'd be torture for Bloom after the dark bloom thing so I'd especially would love to see how you'd write her dealing with that.
Dark Bloom is another thing I’ve been considering how to integrate. I will say that the creepiness/grooming behavior of Avalon’s Doppelgänger is taken way more seriously. Palladium is basically out for blood the entire time, Sky mentions feeling inadequate compared to the new teacher that’s always isolating Bloom and getting her to ditch him for which causes Monica (Brandon’s mom, Sky’s new adoptive mother by season 2) to quirk an eyebrow, and by the time Diaspro casually refers to him as the creepy teacher that murdered Fred (the giant evil magic rock he destroys in his first class) and is probably sleeping with Bloom during all those weird tutoring sessions nobody else gets offered, Monica is at Alfea kicking up a fuss. She also gets Codatorta to kick up a fuss too and calls Mike and Vanessa about the situation. Unfortunately by the time this happens Dark Bloom is already a thing and Tecna is losing it because she tried to sort this situation out at the beginning.
Bloom is pretty traumatized by the whole ordeal and struggles with having been manipulated and turned against the people she loves. The scars from this situation are still prominent in season 3. She doesn’t always trust her own thoughts and tends to have way more angry outbursts from the trauma.
Honestly season 2 is traumatizing for a lot of the cast in my fanfic, specifically Bloom, Diaspro, Sky, and Brandon.
Help not Domino being kinda conservative with their clothes in WINX lmao.
I'm guessing perhaps most modern fairy forms and especially enhantix's og designs are probably a bit shocking for the people of Domino when it's saved?
The gay sex thing is especially funny though, you could be a certified freak with your gay lover and still be considered cleaner than a nun's undies cause it wasn't straight. ("The Loophole" by Garfunkel and Oats immediately comes to mind, also cause one of the singers is Velma's current va)
Would some of their cuisine be seen as barbaric to some worlds? (And would some eat some dishes Ikizukuri style even?)
So that’s what’s funny about that is fairy forms don’t count because they’re considered divinely inspired.
Marion showing off her legs in enchanted form? Wholesome, just as the Great Dragon intended.
Marion wearing a short skirt to the mall? Evil, wicked harlot!
Also yes, I love that song lol! Can you tell I grew up fundie adjacent?
Yes, actually, the Lympheans especially have moral issues with the ikizukuri style meals (which there’s several). Dominese people find fermented foods like cheese, pickles, and alcohol distasteful and that’s caused issues with Solarian diplomats because of the intense wine culture on Solaria. Bloom is pretty squeamish about the still alive food - Marion usually takes Bloom’s plate, kills whatever is on it, then slices it up for her like she’s still four. It doesn’t really help Bloom’s stomach. Gnawing on bones is considered pretty weird and unsightly on some planets.
I want warmth and summer
not done with colorful girls yet~ i fear to watch a new netflix show tbh
