I've decided I'm going to spend a couple weeks hanging around the Battle Chateau training. Me, and my pokemon will probably be pretty tuckered out, so don't expect many entries!
Entry 49
Spent the day in Lumoise, nothing much to report. I just hung out in cafes, visited the museum, and, of course, hung out with my pokemon.
Entry 48
I did it! I beat the eighth gym! Wulfric himself came out to wish me luck against the Elite Four. Still, despite the title of becoming champion so close, it's still so far away. I still have victory road to conquer and Kiloude City to visit. I think I'll take it slow from here on out. Everything has been a whirlwind. There's no rush. Still, there's not much left to do in Snowbelle, so I'm going to head out to Lumoise tomorrow, and relax.
I spent the latter part of the day saying goodbye to the pokemon in the village. Though, it definitely won't be forever.
Entry 47
I heard the Winding Woods was a cool place to go, so I did. Wandering around, I happened upon a huge field of flowers where there was a guy surrounded by pokemon. As it turns out, the man was the gym leader, and the pokemon were members of a 'pokemon village'. They are all runaway pokemon who didn't quite fit in, for one reason or another. Wulfric noted that me and my pokemon have a good bond, and told the pokemon I was alright. He even suggested I hang around with them.
I did, and it was great. I introduced all of my pokemon to the pokemon there. Except Xerneas. It didn't seem to want to leave it's pokeball. I assume it didn't want all of the attention that it would get being such a great pokemon, after all.
By accident, I ended up wasting the entire day there. Tomorrow, I'm going to take on the gym. It's an ice-type, so I think I'll be fine with Kimba on my side.
Entry 46
I made it to Snowbelle safe and sound. Today, I'm just going to scope the place out, and laze about. I'm not too happy about the snow, but it's sort of in the name, so I can't say I wasn't expecting it.
Entry 45
As I was on my way to Snowbelle, Shauna ran up to me asking me if I knew what was about to happen. I had no idea, and she suddenly challenged me to a pokemon battle. I was hoping for something else, but I fought her anyway. She has turned out to be a rather good trainer. As always, though, I had little problem beating her. After the battle she started to talk about our battle in Aquacorde Town, and I started getting a bit nostalgic.
I was saved from an awkward time zoning out when Tierno, and Trevor showed up. Apparently, the Professor had told them I was in Couriway, and they came running to see me. I was touched, but the feeling faded when Tierno challenged me to a battle. I kind of counted on the fact that not all my friends just wanted to battle. Still, we fought, and I won. After the battle he brought up Geosenge. I didn't mind too much, because he went on to say that the battle was a way to get to know me better. Trevor stated he thought it was nice trainers could do that, and healed our pokemon.
I thought that'd be the end of it, but right after healing my pokemon, Trevor challenged me to a pokemon battle. It was weird enough getting a challenge from Tierno, but one from Trevor too? I worried slightly that the event in Geosenge meant that all of my friends were suddenly going to want battles all the time like Serena. After the battle, Trevor worried that he wasn't strong enough, and I felt bad, like I should have lost to him.
The three of them made to leave, saying they had to do something, but Shauna stopped, and turned to talk to me. She said she was glad that she could go on a journey because she could make memories, and meet people...It was hard for me to keep a straight face as she gave me an HM, and left. I was so touched by what she said I cried when she was out of sight.
She was right. The important part of my journey wasn't that I saved the world, but the memories I made. Just because I already saved the world once doesn't mean that the memories I make from now on are any less significant, that my friends are any less important.
I headed back to Couriway town for the night. Emotionally, I wasn't in a place to keep going. Thanks to my friends, I've got a new-found energy for my adventure. I'm not going to become the champion because it's the thing to do. I'm going to become the new champion to be the guy that my friends know I am, even if I can't quite see him yet.
Entry 44
From Lumoise, I flew to Anistar City, and set out towards Couriway Town. As I was leaving the city, I got a holo clip from the professor asking to meet up in Couriway. Considering I was already heading that way, I agreed. As a result of the impending meeting, I hurried along route 18. A surprisingly easy feat considering how littered with trainers previous routes were.
Once I made it to town, I met up with the Professor in the town square. Or at least, that's what it seemed like to me. Anyway, he apologized for Lysandre and thanked me for helping take him down. Honestly, I wasn't interested in the conversation. I wasn't in the mood to talk about Team Flare. After his little speech, he challenged me to an easy battle. My heart wasn't in it, but I managed to beat him. Before leaving, he mentioned a surprise he was planning as a reward for beating Team Flare, and that he had a treasure for me to find.
It took a while to find the professors treasure, and through the search I found a few things. When I did find it, I was pleasantly surprised. As it turns out, it was just some scribbles on a train station bench. I say just some scribbles, but I had to sit down and take a moment after reading them. It was a letter the Professor wrote to himself in the past. It asked about how his life was going, and if he achieved his dreams.
I found myself zoning out, and thinking about my own self. A month and a half ago, I didn't have a dream. Honestly. I got my pokedex, and pokemon, and that was cool, but I didn't really have any big dream to be a great pokemon trainer. I was just... floating. I knew what most trainers did was battle to beat the gyms, elite four, and then become the champion, so that's what I was going to do.
Then, Team Flare showed up, and I ended up saving the world, and now I'm left worried that I can't achieve anything better. How do you top saving the world? I'm just a kid. I can't've had my greatest achievement already...
I'm not going to sleep well tonight. Tomorrow, I'm continuing on to Snowbelle City.
I want a Noibat, but I don't want to take anyone off my team...
Entry 43
Geosenge Town was pretty trashed, so I decided to fly to Lumoise. I've spent the last three days here, wandering through the crowds, and just enjoying myself. It feels weird, though. Knowing the world could have ended.
Tomorrow, I'm starting on my journey again, I don't think I can handle much more time by myself.
Entry 42
I spent today sleeping, and thinking. I'm not sure what to do about Xerneas. If I want it on my team or not. I caught it, so I should use it, but it seems like an unfair advantage... plus it means setting Dinner on the side. I'll keep it with me for now. See what happens.
While I was lazing about, I dug through my bag and realized I had a gift from the Professor that I never opened. As it turns out, it was the HM Fly... I really could have used that a while ago. I ended up teaching it to Sentry. I think I'll spend a few more days relaxing, though.
Entry 41
I finally made it to Geosenge Town. At first I wasn't sure what to do about the device, but then I remembered when the Team Flare grunt mysteriously vanished at the rock formation in town, and I figured it was worth a check. The fact that I got attacked before getting there told me I was heading in the right direction. Once I won the battle, I raced towards the entrance.
Entry 40
As soon as Lysandere's cafe was opened, I walked in. I was greeted by two Team Flare members disguised as staff. I beat both of them easily, and found the entrance to his little lair. The only problem was, he was waiting for me. He spouted off about us being 'chosen ones' again. Honestly, that's all getting really old. All we did was get some pokemon from Sycamore. Is he supposed to be Arceus in disguise or something?
Anyway, I ended up battling my way through hoards of Team Flare agents, met the 'Mysterious Duo' again, and managed to get the key to the elevator.
Only one of the buttons was working, and so I used that one. What I found on that floor was the giant I'd seen before trapped in a cage warning Lysandre not to use the ultimate weapon before telling a story of a man who wanted to bring back his pokemon, whom died, and then used the ultimate weapon to seek revenge.
Lysandre went on to say that he had the same name as the old king, and the key to the weapon. Apparently, he didn't make the connection but the old giant is obviously the king of legend. His story nearly brought tears to my eyes, but I needed to be strong in front of Lysandre.
After the story, Lysandre just shrugged it off, and told me to go to his chambers. There wasn't much I could do for AZ (the giant), so I followed after.
Once there, Lysandre told me if I chose the right button he wouldn't set off the weapon. I had a choice of a red button or a blue button, and, honestly, it was one of the most stressful decisons in my entire life. Ultimately, I chose the blue button, and I was told I was right. Relief flooded through me, only to be squashed when the fatass Team Flame guy said they would set it off anyway.
I could do nothing but watch as the device activated in Geosenge.
There's still a chance, though, a chance to stop it. I raced towards town, but now I'm exhausted. The only thing keeping me from falling asleep while typing this is the importance of it. I'll give myself an hour of rest before continuing on.
Entry 39
Despite how horrible the ride from Anistar to Danedmille is, I raced through, and didn't stop until I got to Lumoise. Unfortunately, by the time I got there, Lysander's cafe was closed, or else I would have barreled on through there as well.
For now, I sleep, and expect an early start in the morning.

Entry 38
As expected, the battle with Serena was easy, and I made it through the gym in one piece. The highlight of the day came when I was leaving the gym, and Lysander came out as the leader of Team Flare. He talked about destroying everyone who isn't Team Flare.
For once, I agree with Serena's want to throw herself into the fight as quickly as possible. I know I can handle Team Flare, so I should do what I can to help if they're trying to kill everyone.
This is just a quick entry before I make my way back to Lumoise ASAP.
Entry 37
I decided that I'm going to make Serena wait as long as possible for our battle, so I spent today looking at the sights, careful to avoid going near the gym where she might see me. I saw the sundial, which really wasn't a sundial at all so much as it was a giant pink gem. It was crazy.
I was also kind of disappointed when I found out that the boutique was selling knock offs of my jacket. Though, only marginally so, considering getting it now would have meant hell for me getting here.
After that I went to talk to a guy about one of the legendary pokemon of Kalos. His story was interesting, but to be honest I wasn't following along that much. I'm not a kid, I don't care about fairy tales like that.
To end the day, I spent my time warming up at a quaint little cafe by the sea. Tomorrow, I'll take on Serena and the gym. It should be easy enough, I've learned not to worry so much about type advantages.
Entry 36
The journey from Dendemille Town to Anistar City was probably the hardest trip so far. I couldn't even do it on foot, there was that much snow in the way. That was probably the coolest part of the journey. Instead of walking I got to ride on the back of a Mamoswine, the same Mamoswine I met outside of Frozen Cave. That was cool.
What was not cool was I spent the whole time freezing my ass off. The snow was so deep it nearly touched my feet while I was on the back of the Mamoswine. Crazy right? I probably would have frozen to death if I hadn't spent all my money on this coat.
I hadn't even recovered from the cold when I got a holo clip from Serena demanding that we have another battle in front of the Gym, just this time in Anistar. I told her I'd think on it, and she told me, she'd be there every day waiting for me. I don't think we can be friends.
Today, and tonight, I'm focusing on warming up, and regaining the feeling in my hands and feet.
