I have been learning python for this research project I'm doing and with the recent Kona Lows, we've had some interesting data. Here's a compilation of a few different spots around Oahu. I wanted to see just how different the precipitation and winds were during the storm, so i made diurnal graphs (aka the hourly averages) for each season, and then made a time series chart for wind and precipitation over the course of the two storms.
I'm really proud of how these turned out. If I had more python expertise i would also try to summarize it up for the whole island instead of just singular spots, and I would do overlapping maps of maybe accumulated precipitation and highest gusts. But that could be for another time.
Data collected from synopticdata.com (incredible sight. check it out if you're into meteorology and havent heard of it before)
