SL marketplace userscript

After long time gone I’m back.

I have written a userscript for SL marketplace. It adds couple tweaks, nothing really special. In order to use it you will need your browser to support user scripts. For chrome you can install the Tampermonkey plugin.

It adds links to description, shows keywords for items, moves features tab to content and replaces demo link with a big button. Also it replaces prices that end with 49 and 99 (because it’s kind of tricking mind to think the prices are lower, etc..)

Firebase + LSL = Win?

There's this thing called firebase.com. It provides a key-value storage. Also it is a HOSTED key-value storage, which is pretty rad, and, also they have a free plan which leads me to conclusion it's worth a try. Eh? 100 mb storage with 50 concurrent connections (I really-really hope they are concurrent connections, after all)

llUnescapeURL turned to be funny function after all. I was bragging "LSL does not let us to get char by its number" for like 5 years. I use llUnescapeURL for years too, for web stuff. But i didnt think i can use it to get char by its code.

So here's an odd function to convert decimal to hexadecimal without defining char map using llUnescapeURL. Thx to Takni Miklos for her help with this one.

Damn, I'm good

This is the 99 bottles of beer in LSL I wrote:

Ok, here's a part of infinite list of people i hate in SL

Ambitious bullshit advertisement spammers. I think everyone hate them. If you dont - you're probably one of them, the "successful people doing business in SL"

People who look where my camera goes via their privacy-ingorant viewers and IM me like "stop starring at me!!!". Fuck, if you dont want to be cammed - go to a private land. And turn off the titles of who cams where. It's not your freaking business, you creeps!

People who start conversation with "Hey! TP me!". Like they knew I'm not busy and standing somewhere where they are welcome.

Armed and dangerous persons. God damned, I hate noobs with their griefHUDs, who think griefing someone proves their right.

Ambicious killer-idea bearers. People who run around with "I will pay a noob scripter 300L, he will make me breedable pets, I will sell them and get $$$!!" or "I will be a first person to create a bank in SL". Yuck, those people are sick. Also trey're usually fucking paranoid: they suspect everyone around in trying to steal their genius ideas. Bleh.

Actually any newbies who are in SL only for money.

Anyone who think they're smarter than everyone around. I AM the smartest, ok?

Also, idiots who think they're better than anyone around just because they're big shots in their RL.

People who start to argue when I claim my price for a scripting work. Like "30k? Are you crazy? My friend will do that for 2k!". Okay, people. 30k is my regular price for 20 hours of work on your stupid script when I'm not interested. Money is only thing except inspiration that can overcome my laziness.

Making a new toy.. It will be a remake of Particle Magic. Not using a single line from its code, everything from scratch. Here's the shot of interface.

Finally! I finished my hsv-color picker. 3 dynamic sliders for color, saturation and brightness. And everything for just 0.5 prims.

Worst-first. Mentalray-render of meshes made using Mesh Studio + my tiny script. Now - remade of regular prims so only windows are meshes now. Idk why i did this - meshes work great and there was really no need to replace them with prims.. Well. I'm only learning anyway.

Um.. Sometimes i make useful scripts for myself that do my job but faster. And.. noticed that there are a lot of such scripts that are being sold. And people who are sure that freebie=shit, who pay money for shit even worse than freebies shit.

TOR ToDos

So.. Features I'm planning to make in wgTOR (Bold are already made. As you see, not much yet. Italic are features i'm not yet sure about do I need them):

Mesh design will keep prim count small and load fast

16 textures at once. Not because I'm lazy but just because i see no reason to do more

Pre-caching. Categories will work as fast as possible.

Move or copy textures to other categories. Flush entire folders. Remove selected textures (owner-only)

Search textures

2 Repacking scripts - one to pack textures FROM organizer category into a box, another to pack textures TO organizer FROM a box.

Permission setup

Textures give away just from organizer

Script to put in a prim and to display textures on it.

Rez a prim with texture to play around.

Web view. Organizer will generate several web-pages for you to view textures.

Duplicate remove for separate categories.

Resize and rotate when worn as HUD

Meh. The main feature is it will be free and fullperm (scripts nomod, of course).
