It had been a long ride from the plains of Dehradun to this tiny mountain village called Sankri. I am tired. Happy to be in the high Himalayas and to see snow all around but tired and hungry! All I want is a bowl of piping hot Maggi to warm myself and then, straighten my back for some time. The trek begins tomorrow. I quickly dump my luggage in the dorm and walk out of our rickety stay for the night, the GMVN rest house. I stop at the edge of the small hill over-looking part of the village below to stretch myself and am almost immediately blown away by the view ahead. "Is it for real?", I think to myself! The Glorious Sunset I feel my jaw drop and I seem deeply lost, completely oblivious to everything around me. No words can describe the beauty of what I see. The golden rays of the setting sun seem to have painted the sky with a thousand shades of yellow, the snow-capped peaks at a distance, some milky white while some wear a unique mix of red and yellow. The state of Arunachal Pradesh is home to numerous waterfalls, seasonal and otherwise. Coupled with the charming effects of the monsoons and the breathtakingly beautiful terrain of Arunachal Pradesh, each of these waterfalls are sure to impress you to the maximum. The kid in you is sure to jump with excitement at the sights. One such imposing waterfall is the Nuranang fall, also known as the Jung falls. Just before you reach the small town of Jung, nestled up in the mountains and literally on the highway to Tawang, you cannot miss the 100-feet milky drop that comes gushing down to meet the river below. Nuranang Waterfall, Jang - Arunachal Pradesh While on our way to Tawang, we had visited the Jung waterfall this monsoon. Standing right at the bottom of this grand waterfall and watching it roar down to the valley was unarguably one of the highlights of our trip. Sadly, by the time we reached the falls, the light had almost faded. Jung Falls, Tawang We were late by at least half an
