Turn any image into a paintable Palette House pixel grid. Exact in-game palette, brush recipe, paint-by-numbers. Runs in your browser — no u
Haven't posted much since the release of Living The Dream, but I would like to share a tool that makes paint-by-numbers grids out of any image, allowing you to copy it to your own Pallete House! Could be useful to those who want to "print" images into their game, and/or don't have as easy of a time drawing stuff for the game.
Officially one week away from Living The Dream! Today begins preloads for those who have purchased the game digitally. Also an additional heads up to people who are looking out for spoilers, supposedly the game has been leaked online and there may be people sharing stuff from it. I haven't seen anything personally, but just letting you all know. After the game officially releases I will take a brief hiatus from posting so I can actually play it, and then shortly after I will begin making more relevant posts.
Converts PNG to facepaint's CANVAS/UGCTEX files.... A Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream (TLLD) Modding Tool in the Other/Misc category, submi
This tool for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream allows you to copy Miis plus their makeup from Miitopia! Honestly surprising for me to see stuff like this when the game isn't even fully out yet, but it is indeed very cool. The demo has already been datamined and this will certainly continue once the game fully releases, so at this point we can expect more projects of this nature
Nintendo Switch『トモダチコレクション わくわく生活』の「よくあるご質問」のページです。
A recent FAQ has gone out recently on Nintendo Japan's website for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. Since this doesn't currently seem to be officially translated to any language but Japanese yet, below is a fully translated transcript.
Q: Are save data and islands shared with other users registered on the console?
A: They are not shared. Save data and islands are created separately for each user registered on the console. Please note that there is only one save file per user.
Q: Can this game be played on the Nintendo Switch 2?
A: Yes, you can play it on either the Nintendo Switch or the Nintendo Switch 2.
Q: Is there any difference when playing on the Nintendo Switch 2?
A: Whilst the game content remains unchanged, gameplay takes full advantage of the Nintendo Switch 2’s performance, resulting in shorter loading times and other improvements. It also supports ‘Game Chat*’, allowing you to chat with friends whilst playing, so you can enjoy the game together by sharing the screen.
*A subscription to ‘Nintendo Switch Online’ (paid service) is required to use this feature.
Q: Does it support the 'Handheld Mode Boost' feature on the Nintendo Switch 2?
A: When playing Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream in Handheld Mode on the Nintendo Switch 2, you can play at a higher resolution (1080p) than in the Nintendo Switch’s Handheld Mode, regardless of whether ‘Handheld Mode Boost’ is switched on or off. Therefore, this game does not support ‘Handheld Mode Boost’.
*Please note that whilst the demo version supports ‘Handheld Mode Boost’, enabling it will disable touch controls. As you can play at a high resolution (1080p) with touch controls enabled even when ‘Handheld Mode Boost’ is disabled, we recommend playing with it turned off. Following the application of a system update scheduled for release shortly, the demo version will also no longer support ‘Handheld Mode Boost’.
Q: Are there any controls other than the buttons?
A: The game is primarily controlled using buttons, but touch controls are also supported in certain situations, such as when creating Miis or using the ‘Item Workshop’. It does not support the mouse function of the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 controllers.
Q: How many Mii characters can I register?
A: You can register up to 70 people.
Q: Can I import Miis created on the console itself or in other software?
A: You can create new residents in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream using the faces of Mii characters registered on your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 console.
You cannot import Mii characters directly from other software, such as the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch game Miitopia.
In the Nintendo Switch game Miitopia, you can copy a Mii created in the game to a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 console by following the steps below.
1. Select ‘Mii’ from the title screen.
2. Select the Mii you wish to copy from the list.
3. Select ‘To Nintendo Switch console’ from the menu that appears.
Please note that ‘Make-up’ and ‘Wigs’ will not be copied.
Q: Can I transfer the Mii I’ve created to the console itself or to other games?
A: Mii data created in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream cannot be transferred to another Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 console, or to other software such as Miitopia.
Q: What gender options are available when creating a Mii?
A: For each Mii, you can choose their gender from ‘Male’, ‘Female’ or ‘Nonbinary’. Your choice of gender does not affect the game mechanics or the story.
Q: Can you choose who your Mii falls in love with?
A: For each Mii, you can choose their romantic preferences from ‘Male’, ‘Female’ or ‘Nonbinary’. You can select multiple options or choose none at all. Depending on the gender and romantic preferences you set, Miis may fall in love. Furthermore, regardless of gender, married couples may have a baby.
Q: Is it OK to post images or videos from Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream on social media or stream them online?
A: Yes, this is possible. If you wish to post or share images or videos from Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream on social media, please check the rules of each platform and ensure you post in accordance with the ‘Guidelines for the Use of Nintendo’s Copyrighted Works on Network Services’.
Please note that you cannot use certain system features with images or videos captured in Tomodachi Collection: New Life, such as transferring images to a smartphone, posting directly to social media, or automatic image uploads (Nintendo Switch 2 only).
Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream - Personality Chart
Feel free to save and share around. This is just a simple cheat sheet to get the personality you want fast. I made this based on the European localisation btw, the US one should take the same inputs but the descriptions for the personalities might be different. I unno. Enjoy
Minor correction I suppose, but quite a lot of early game footage is floating around now! Seems as though Nintendo Treehouse has given some members of the press early access to the game (seems mostly like this was offered to people in Europe since that's where the majority of this coverage is coming from).
It mostly appears to be covering early game stuff, but if you are curious then there's plenty of videos on YouTube of all this new information.
Spy on your Miis while they take a nice hot bath!... A Tomodachi Life (TL) Mod in the Other/Misc category, submitted by Zettabyte64
A mod for the US and EU versions of Tomodachi Life that brings back married couples bathing together, since this was censored outside of the Japanese and Korean versions of the game. A very small mod, but one that helps to bring more features from the Eastern to Western versions.
A Tomodachi Life (TL) Mod in the Other/Misc category, submitted by Andifr
This is a mod for the US and EU versions of Tomodachi Life that unlocks all region restricted food items and makes them available to purchase in the shop. Potentially useful for those who seek to play the game with more parity between versions, is also just generally pretty cool to have these items be available!
Reddit user u/No_Pear_8140 has sourced the images for a number of food items in Tomodachi Life, the Reddit thread is linked above, but I will also attach the images in the thread here:
A Japanese exclusive Nintendo 3DS XL model (Known as the Tomodachi Collection: New Life Bundle) was sold with a preinstalled copy of the game for a brief period of time.
Europe also received four bundles with preexisting 3DS models, also including preinstalled copies of Tomodachi Life.
