My Own Private Idaho (1991), dir. Gus Van Sant:
- “I only have sex with a guy for money. - Yeah, I know. - And two guys can’t love each other. - Yeah. Well, I don’t know. I mean… I mean, for me… I could love someone even if I, you know, wasn’t paid for it…”
jeff buckley + rebecca moore
— "Other people cry about the artist loss. And I do think his art was a gift to the world," she says. "But for me, it was like the gift of him ... He was just a very sweet, alive, caring person. And caring too much about everything. The takeaway from me about Jeff is I hope we learn how precious we each are and take better, kinder care of each other.”
I love this shot soo much it’s such a good visual of mike’s grief for the stable home he never had, as it crashes onto the road that he’s always stuck on
the concept of neil opening the window before killing himself so his soul wouldn't be trapped in that awful house
aww aww aww aww so cute aww aww aww aww
this. shot. always fucking gets me.
the empty bed. not even any sheets. todd being on his side but facing neil's side. the lighting. and showing both beds in the shot is so intentional. ugh i could talk about this forever
is it better to speak or to die?
neil would have said "speak"
and todd would have said "die"
but in the end
todd spoke up
and neil died
oh my GOD
