Sex and Cannabis: Is THC a Stimulant?
Everyone has a sexual desire in their own eyes all the time. Practically if you see, sexuality is to be described as the face of being sexual. The desire for sex, wanting an expression of sexual receptivity, and also the sexual activity falls into prosaic categories. The desire of having sex and sexual activity is believed to be very normal behavior as the body hormone of humans creates all kinds of stimulations.
Sometimes, the high flow of stimulation is the result of a continuous desire for sex and, this desire is a result of a lot of sexual thoughts that run through your mind and those thoughts bring physiological and hormonal changes. If everything remains normal, the phase of sexual stimulation results in actual sexual activities and more than one escalating orgasm results from sensations. Actual sexual satisfaction and relief come from the body’s orgasm with relaxation as it gets back to its normal mental and physical state by feeling some contentment and fulfillment.
Everything is quite normal, humans always face problems in activating more than one of the above states of the height of sexuality. Difficulty with a lower sexual drive as well as a sexual state becoming mundane results in sensations from sex- related activities being silent and makes the orgasm a bit difficult and actual sexual satisfaction impossible to act and which results in fell of inadequacy and also disappointment.
Is THC Capable of Increasing Sexual Desire?
Connection of Cannabinoid and The Chocolates
Sexual desires in the body, an increase in excitement for sex, and ultimately some sexual activity, all make the start of the release of anandamide, there is a characteristic of cannabinoids that circulates in the body, produces and binds the CB1 and CB2 naturally in the body. The receptors are found abundantly inside the brain and also in many other parts of the whole body.
Internally bound with the feelings of relief and pleasure, anandamide is also euphemistically ben provided and nickname, and the name is “bliss molecule”. When the procedure of binding is going one for CB1 and CB2 receptors, the reduction of anandamide along with the depression, mitigates pain, restoration of appetite, promotion of fertility, and even, kills the cells of cancer.
There are some foods that are responsible for the extra production of anandamide from the brain, the item is chocolate. This is the reason why some people crave chocolate as it has a good amount of theobromine.
Cannabis is also responsible to create the same effect as anandamide for pain relief to pleasure, but cannabis is not able to create extra anandamide in the body like the chocolates can do.
What is the conclusion? Is THC Aphrodisiac or Not?
Cannabis already has its own cannabinoid that can give the same effects as anandamide, which is a psychoactive legendary cannabinoid THC.
In the same way as anandamide, THC is involved in similar actions as the CB1 and CB2 receptors, so it products the same effects on the body as anandamide does with no surprises at all.
There is one more thing here that needs attention is, even though cannabis creates the same effect as increasing sexual desires, it should not be considered an aphrodisiac at all. This is because it doesn’t cure sexual dysfunction at all. So, when it comes to cannabis for sex, then it should be considered as to increase in sexual stimulants, not as a cure of decreasing sexual desires.
Cannabis with Sex: Dose and Setting matters
As per Dr. Mitch Earleywine, who wrote the book Understanding Marijuana – A new Look at the Scientific Evidence, the receptor of CB1 books is to be attached to improvised tactile sensations and general euphoria.
If cannabis is capable to improve tactile sensations and general euphoria, it would not be considered to summarize that it is capable to improve overall sexuality, there are many states and forms of it.
There are studies and their conclusions that reported a relationship status dependent on the dose, that if one consumes a small quantity of cannabis and produces a desired sexual desire or stimulation but a higher dose might be creating a disturbance in sexual function.
There a study conducted in 2013 by Frontiers of Endocrinology, found that a small dosage of THC is going to rapidly increase the number of testosterone levels in the body while a higher dose of THC may result in a sudden drop in testosterone levels. These levels were below the mice levels not given to THC. This happened while experimenting with mice.
Obviously, people are not the same as mice and there are many other factors that can affect the performance of sexual activity in mice. People have also hard feelings for the other person. This plays an important role when the activity of sex happens in mankind.
Dr. Lester Grinspoon, a famous researcher, and the world’s most popular and widely published author published some journals regarding the medical usage of cannabis, and noted that “If you are scared that you will get a knock and policeman will coming to your place?” These are the thing that plays a major role in the influence of the mind. So, one part of the set in having some sexual experience also depends on how both partners feel about each other at a time of activity. You are more like your partner in actual life, having good experience in sex, and also increase desire for the number of sex in a certain time.
Increasing the feeling of camaraderie and also bonds and likes have always been symptoms of communal cannabis consumption, so extra feelings of infatuation and extra lust inside the stoned lovers are more expected and enjoyable as well. It is not right if someone says that the usage of cannabis can solve all your problems regarding sexuality. It is right to say that cannabis can offer better symptomatic relief from all other problems like long-term pain and insomnia, it also provides physiological stimulation, and that results in better sexual attraction ad also activity.
