Just got struck by the thought of a TGWDLM fic where Peter isn't infected early at Beanies, and instead is shepherded around with the rest of the group and Ted goes protective older brother mode over him.

Mayhaps Paul actually recognizes him as Ted's younger sibling at Beanies and (because Pete perpetually is always waiting for his hot chocolate and I could see not liking coffee) he doesn't get gooed.
