okay but i do think the reason n and a wont be a thing is because back in the day n went through the experience of falling in love with the person who, in their way, saved them. and a rejected them soundly (was it genuine, was it foresight of this being the wrong time/misrecognized feelings, was it reflex, was it the hardest thing a ever did— idk) and n like. Never Forgot. and while they got okay with it, didnt feel bad about it once they settled into being a vampire somewhat, they never forgot it. and so to them a has always been Off Limits. and a is.

ive had this scene in mind a while, where the signing of the documents has happened and a few hours of pre-dawn are left between that happening and everyone having to kick into gear with reparations and. andras and alwan go outside to sit on the steps a while. it’s quiet and there so much wrong with it but they’re tired. and the problem that has dominated their lives until now is done. so they can rest for at least a little while

and if andras has to hold tight to him with both hands before letting their head dip, no one would ever be the wiser

(of course, the sad outcome would be that andras doesn’t wake up. their body went though too much, it experienced rest and took it. and alwan gets left alone. again.)

oh right i forgot the whole important thing about andras: they get nabbed by rawal during the fifth game because no one (or almost no one) ever got a good look at them, and when they wiped their memory the shapers who found them justassumed they had been manually altered. he didn’t know what he had.

me thinking about andras reuniting with greta after the war:

this but bassboosted for me thinking about greta andras and alwan picking up the pieces of the world after the war and healing themselves as they help undo the damage they did/contributed to

im replaying g3 and am Un Sad now so. andras has very little motivation to learn proper swordsmanship from alwan despite knowing it would keep them safer until he drags them outside n hugs them for doing it right. then they’re all for it

me thinking about andras reuniting with greta after the war:

thinking about them later makes me sad but I love early alwan and andras because andras is so sweet and silly and loves to hang off him while he’s trying to be all frowny and serious because he has a hard time not smiling around them

i think after a while, they would go back to the shapers. alwan would hear of the rebellion building and not be able to stand it, and andras would know they have to go with him to temper his descisions. stover likely gets left with a small army of creations to protect the homestead and gets trained how to heal them, and then they set off to rejoin the shapers.

are alwan and andras dating? no. are they life partners? yes? have they kissed. probably

he’s bitter and mean and a staunch traditionalist but that’s fine because he’s gained enough respect for andras to deligate to them whenever issues come up, even more so when they’re a few years down the line. it’s confusing for people who meet him but that’s a small price for depriving the shapers a general

he still thinks shapers should rule, and is sure that the war will teach them a much needed lesson, because he “knows” the rebels can’t win. andras is 🙄 but they’re content to have him by them as they rebuild the area. he’s their best friend and it would kill them to have to drive him off

while they’re on the road alwan n andras often share a room (if not a bed), at first because alwan doesn’t trust greta or stover and later because he just likes using them as a pillow. they’re Soft

anyways andras appeals to his arrogance while also hammering into his thick fucking skull how important kindness is by constantly caring for others and convinced him slowly that the proper way to rule (since they know he won’t accept that shapers aren’t superior) is with a gentle, parental hand. and that’s what gets him to step away from the fight and just help people with andras
