Real life sucks
//Sorry for not being around much lately. Real life, aka mainly the Navy, has thrown a wrench into the works. My anxiety and stress is horrible lately, but Iâm still around between here and @theforsakenmyths - so look for me either place.

Cursed Myths
The fae are still one unit, rallying together against the threat of the Red Paladinsâ crusade against their kind. This is long before the civil unrest that would later split the fae into two distinct alignments - the Seelie and Unseelie. For now, the ancient families unite in an effort to save their kind from the threat racing closer to their protected lands every day. News of villages being burned reach the Courts, and they send out those they can to help. Â
In the human world, there are few safehavens for fae kind. Nemos comes to be sacked by the Red Paladins, led by the Weeping Monk. The Glade takes itâs place, hiding deep in the forests.
This will be this lots Cursed verse. For this, Monk will be @weepingashes - which is also my blog. So, you might easily see him popping on threads here which take part in this verse. Â
"Mushrooms, poppies, sugar and spice. All those things are very nice. When combined, the proper mixture makes a getting small elixir.. Hmmm.. I don't much like sweets."
( @brckenmemcriesâ )
He can only watch her, wondering how her mind works. Sheâs different than the Paladins. Different than the ones he hunted. She is the one that brought down the Courts. His fingers wrap around the pommel of his sword as he leans back against the tree. With the way his hood falls over his face, only a partial glimpse of his markings can be seen.
âI never had a chance to enjoy sweets much.â He finally replied, glancing over at the woman. The few sweets he did remember had been stolen from the kitchens, or given to him by kind faces that saw the boy he had been, not the killer he now was.
âIf you were smaller, I would tower over more,â he added, a small hint of a grin at the corner of his lips.
//Iâm going to finish up what I have left over here, then probably go work on the multimuse some. I am battling a migraine, so weâll see where my day takes me. Â
"Always remember, I saved you. With fruit." - Squirrel
( @inasavagegardenâ )
There is a small smirk on his lips, not that the boy could see it for the hood still hung low over the monkâs weeping eyes. No matter what had happened in those final moments in the Red Paladinâs camp, he hadnât been able to completely shrug off the hood. It was his armor, his protection from the world.
Still, Squirrel had seen the worst of his actions, but the boy had still saved him. With fruit.  âAnd a sword...would you want to learn how to wield one?â The thought of Squirrel in a fight doesnât sit well with the monk, but in their world, they could be pulled apart at any moment. Â
Could he be a safer teacher than Carden had been? A better guide? The monk didnât know the answers to those questions, but he felt a connection to the boy that was easily a door way into his own past.

(Â đ» + Lucas North - @agentharrisonofshield / @lucxsnorthâ )
North is a spiral.
He seems to be fraying at the edges. Do others notice? He spins about, dancing between missions, and what was left of his life from before. Unlike Harrison, North was something Monk had studied before. He had been prepared for North, as he had been the others. But even with that preparation, North still poses a threat.
(Â đ» + Vivian - @agentharrisonofshieldâ )
She confuses him. Â
Vivian was not someone he planned for, nor learned about. She was there when he arrived from training. An American? How did she fit into all this? Is she the link between Myers and North? No matter what Vivian is, there are a great deal of questions around her. She is a stranger to him, and that is a problem that must be fixed.
HC | Monkâs Horse
In the book, he is noted as riding a white courser, but in the show, he has a black horse named Goliath. That horse always seems to suit him better in my mind, so that is the horse that he has. Even in the AUâs, he will always have his horse in some capacity -- be it a constant partner, or a long time companion that he tends to. Goliath is important to Monk, and one of the few constants in his life that he doesnât have to fear judgement or distrust from.
(đ» + Ros Myers - @agentharrisonofshieldâ / @stcriestcldâ )
The name is enough to strike some strange worry in the pit of his stomach. Myers seems to always be watching, no matter what chaos is going on around them. In some ways, she reminds him of a spider sitting the middle of a web, waiting to see which string plucks as a change happens within the confines of Section D. Will she find the cause before it disappears?

CrypticÂ
Monk came to work at MI5 during the eight years that Lucas North was in captivity with the Russians. Among the candidates at the time, Monk had a high aptitude for computers and finding targets. He saw the tasks as puzzles, excelling in them. The physical training was something he struggled with at first, but he found his footing. His preferred weapons became anything in a sniperâs arsenal, while he continued to work on improving his skill in hand to hand. Monk is quiet, works mainly by himself, and he is happy letting his life outside of Section D remain a secret to those he works with.
The Ros for this verse will be @stcriestcld and Lucas North will be @lucxsnorth .Â
