Rekindling- Open Para
Anita had came home after her visit to the Helmwood’s shop and initiated a staring contest with her bag before gathering her courage and taking the ingredients out of the bag, eyeing the nightshade cautiously as she remembered Clara warning her it was lethal. Then she got to work and surprisingly enoug it all came back naturally. Elixirs were a thing she had always been pretty good at but this was a whole new spell, she had never tried out and she couldn’t afford to go back in to buy new ingredients, the thought of failing made her stomach twist in a painful way. If she was to gradually start living like more of a witch, she’d do her utmost best to be a good witch.
She was almost done now, the last part of was soaking the crytals into the finished mixture but the cleaning of the brewing pot was taking a lot of her time, perhaps because she was applying a little too much attention to it. Once done, she turned to the crystals and brought them to the counter of her shop along with the mixture, the shop was silent and had been empty for several hours so she did not fear any disturbance. Anita deposited the first one into the mixture, watching raptly as it soaked it, the crystal now faintly glowing. That’s when the door’s shop swung open, her first customer of the late afternoon entering. Anita flailed for a second or two, aborting a motion to grab the crystals and hide them before chinning up and looking up to her customer. Maybe if she acted like nothing was out of the ordinary, she’d avoid unwanted questions. “Hello?”
Demetria entered the bakery, and looked around. She spotted the counter, and stepped towards it. "Hello, Anita" she said, remembering the woman's name from their previous conversation. She let her gaze go around the shop again, hoping to find something that would catch her eyes.
"I was going to.." she trailed off, as her eyes caught sight of the glowing crystals, she shock her head, and ran her thumb over her bottom lip. "I wanted to buy Mama a baked good" she added, her eyes drawing back to the crystal. She couldn't ignore it, she lived around magic, and despite not being able to do it herself, she did watching it being cast.
"You can do magic?" she asked, tilting her head towards the glowing object. "What does it do?" she added, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. She crossed her arms, and rocked back and forth on her heels.
