This week British Airways and American Airlines launched an advertising campaign for their coload/shared flights, with the tag line of 'Whats stopping you from visiting?" aimed at the British market for travel to the USA.

The overwhelming comments on the posts on social media are all 'because we don't want to go there?'

Massive oversight by British Airways. They have rapidly realised the reason Stateside airports are offering them cheap landing slots is because no one wants to go to America anymore so those slots are now available due to cancelled routes from other airlines.

A UK mobile phone network offered a competition where the top prize was a trip to the USA; they had to draw the prize 6 times as everyone wanted the runner up prizes which didn't involve visiting USA.
