Speaking from AU rewrites, this anime should’ve been based on verifiable real-world psychology. Instead it mixes Western Jungian psychology with Eastern culture and bizarre anime superpowers. That perfect blend of Eastern and Western influence is what’s so fascinating though.

Along with gnosticism (precursor to Jungian psychology) the anime copy-pasted Jung’s concept of libido, defined as universal psychic energy in his terms, but includes sexuality. Archetypes used for the characters: Mother, Child, Hero, Noble Savage, Wise Old Man, Tyrant, Henchman.

Gooseworx aka Cooper (trans) said the character is *his* self-insert but I can tell *his* writing is male when *he* writes an ideal girl (chill, funny, innocent, oddly caked-up figure). *Him* suggesting Jax would be morally better as female sounds like self-sexism/female envy.

Perhaps if we didn’t create this culturally feminist myth that women are smarter, more compassionate etc while men are fundamentally defective we wouldn’t have men hating their own gender and wanting to transition. Just a thought. 🤔
