People seek lasting significance, but no matter how great their accomplishments, they are unable to achieve the significance they desire.
by Justin S. Holcomb
Ecclesiastes describes the meaninglessness of living without God. We see that God created the world and called it “good.” But despite this original goodness, humanity fell into sin, and all creation was subjected to the curse of God. This brought into the world meaninglessness, violence, and frustration. Graciously, God did not leave his creation to an endless round of meaninglessness…
A non-judgmental therapy idol brings friends together like glue without even realizing it. Open communication breaks a habit in 🇯🇵 of concealing true feelings and living secret lives. No shame = sharing. 🗣️
Even the lady who complains about every little act men do to women doesn’t want to be right that “comfort girls” are real on an industrial level. That’s how bad it is. 🧍♀️ And a scientist can’t sugarcoat the truth.
So besides making the bobcat emasculated and cowardly because he’s chonkier than he used to be, the villains are sheep??? Hmm where have I seen this anti-Christian symbolism before? The male names are so biblical… wow.
Gettin’ real tired of this trend.
Sakura is always happy to help when there’s a wardrobe malfunction. Except… once upon a time she secretly stole a belt and used it to discipline a boy in a school supply closet. (But let’s not ruin the helpful moment with awkward schoolgirl history.)

Christians often talk about working for God, going on a missions trip for God, doing the ministry for God.
It’s good to talk that way. It’s biblical. For example, we are promised that through Christ we will “bear fruit for God” (Romans 7:4). We are urged to “live for him who . . . died and was raised” (2 Corinthians 5:15). And we are called to “work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men” (Colossians 3:23).
So we should do things for God. But what does…
Seeing how painful causing trouble for friends is, Tokiko reaches a point where she leaves her in-group to pursue her career peacefully. However, this hints that she’s stuck in a cycle of exploitation by the idol business, finding it more comfortable than dealing with her psyche.
One of her friends tries to warn her of the danger she might actually pose to herself and others, but he’s wrestling with his own demons at the moment.
Tokiko has unprocessed raw emotions hidden under peaceful Zen delusions. Her idol music reflects her state and combined with drugs affects listeners to feel similarly. Ri and Ken want to solve their boss’ plan involving Tokiko but she has little faith in the scientific method.
Tokiko’s rivalry with stuffed animals - she thinks *she’s* the ultimate comfort and her role in life should stay that way. She doesn’t want to know “why” or “how” but just accept the song and dance.
That lamb isn’t ordinary… could it be… the Lamb of God???
I walk a lot, but never alone. To an observer, I might look like I'm walking alone, but I have great company and conversations with my God.
Friends, wherever you go, whatever you do, you are always in a team of four. There are three others with you: a Heavenly Father, a Savior and Friend Jesus and a Comforter, The Holy Spirit.
You might feel alone, but you never are. God is always there; always available; always willing to comfort, to listen, to strengthen and to help. Never more than a prayer away.
Friends, have a very blessed evening in a Christ. Amen. 🙏

Ken’s dad was a security officer and unlike cold distant anime fathers he put in the effort to read his son and open him up to talking. But Ken insisted on keeping his bullying problems secret to not look weak. He already had enough of being called a girl for being bad at sports.
Businessmen talking about business things. Oh yeah, and Tokiko’s noticeably flat booty. Remember, a woman is only human if she has proper huge childbearing hips. Like how you can only be “human” if you’re adored by distant fans instead of close friends. Hmm…? 🧐

Don’t let your emotions lead your down a dangerous path. Let God’s word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psa 119:105). Let your convictions spring from God’s word, and not from sentimental feelings about your kids, or the culture, or etc… Our hearts are fickle, but God is the…
What works between these two as a duo isn’t just their size difference but Ken’s efforts to help Tokiko recover her mind as a scientist can. 🧠 She’s skilled in logic like him (not an emotional female stereotype) but has suppressed that skill in personal matters to ignore pain.

Sermon Overview Scripture Passage: Titus 2:11
Every Christian needs a burning, blazing, passionate love for the Lord Jesus Christ that overflows into service and worship. However, we must be careful with our zeal, so that it doesn't become misguided.
Titus 2 addresses the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of zeal, and urges us to watch out for extremism and harmful fanaticism…
Tokiko serves as a comfort idol to a select few men (who probably paid her boss lots of money). She absorbs their feelings, laughter and tears and never uses her voice in bed except for singing. Her own feelings don’t matter so she applies her Zen to relax and let the night pass.
Though she won’t admit it, the psychological impact is dire. She’s not allowed to establish a genuine romantic/sexual relationship with anyone since she’s not designed as a person, but rather a symbol of universal love meant to give herself to all, becoming one with all.
