Police stops boys driving with self-made vehicle through German small town

Two boys, 13 and 14 years old, drove with a self-made vehicle powered by a 5-hp-lawnmower motor through the small town of Kierspe, North Rhine-Westphalia. They were stopped by the police while they were turning rounds on the parking lot of the local DIY market.

They had done all of the welding work themselves, including brakes and a clutch. The steering column was from an old car and works the opposite way as usual.

They were stopped by the police while they were turning rounds on the parking lot of the local DIY market. The police officers accompanied them home while they had to push their vehicle. The 13-year-old, who was sitting on the driver’s seat, does not face criminal charges as he is not yet of the age of criminal responsibility. However, charges will be pressed against the parents of the two boys.
