Please do not attack, threaten or harass others (or me) over the submissions on this blog (but civil discussion, debate, and analysis are permitted and encouraged!).
Also, if possible, please try not to intentionally stir up discourse or drama on my blog. I may choose not to publish submissions that seem too much like they're swinging a bat at a hornet's nest at my own discretion. Sorry about that, but I really don't want any drama, I'm just trying to run a fun blog about my favorite series.

I think an offhand joke here and there shouldn't be too bad, but even then I'll try to tag these with #suggestive or something similar.
ā¤ Please nothing pressuring or harassing Erica Wester or anyone else involved with the series. While anticipation of future installments is fine, please do not submit comments pressuring Erica, asking why new installments are not out yet, or harassing anyone else involved with the film's development. Erica and the team behind W2H are real people with real lives outside of the series, and these types of comments display ignorance and ingratitude for her creation (on top of being annoying and very repetitive).

If Johnathan ever wanted to kiss Sock I feel like it would be one of those moments where they're both laughing their asses off over a really dumb joke and he just.

Before running off to go to bed trying to forget that even happened. Next day it would just be really awkward because Sock doesn't know how he should bring it up and Johnathan really doesn't want for him to bring it up.
Not necessarily out of embarrassment, but suddenly realizing that you've grown to have a crush on the demon that's literally trying to get you to kill yourself only to kiss him on impulse isn't exactly an easy thing to process. š
They'd be silent about it for a good while only for it to get brought up again in an argument.
Johnathan: "Why won't you just go away?? Did you have to do that?? Ever since you got here you've been nothing but an annoyance-"
Sock: "Is that so? Well let me lay it out for you..."
Sock: "...I find this quite interesting given you didn't seem so AAnNoYedD by my presence back when you KISSED ME!!"
Johnathan: "...that's, that's just..."
Johnathan: "..."
Johnathan: (...I'm screwed, aren't I?)
Sock: *Uh-huh, I said it. Now you've gotta deal with it."
Johnathan: "..."
Sock: "What do you have to say for yourself, Mister John Athan?"
...Johnathan himself wasn't sure what the answer to that question is, so he just quietly stared at Sock, who won't leave him alone until he answers.

I am genuinely intrigued about what goes on in Erica's mind in terms of the sheer gayness between Sock and Johnathan. They're both so undeniably fruity and Erica even made a bunch of non canon ship art of them.
I feel like canon story reasons kind of stop these two from ever realistically getting together, but she definitely sees our vision and hell, maybe even saw the ship herself while creating it all before we ever could but decided to focus on their relationship in a different way, which is perfectly fine.
'The whole "thinking that his killing is a silly goofy thing" is actually really damn offensive'
Anon I'm gonna be real, if you want good representation of a homicidal character you are looking in the complete wrong place. This is a student short film about a demon trying and failing to get a teenager to kill himself. The narrative does not put a whole lot of weight on sock killing himself, or his murderous tendencies. It is quite literally is 'a silly goofy thing' in the film.
Not to say you have to LIKE when people don't take Sock's 'homicidal tendencies' seriously, or when people romanticize it, but you can't be mad at other fans for not treating it seriously when the film itself doesn't treat it seriously.
People who genuinely think Sock is a "twink" and draw him skinny as hell piss me off to be fully honest. He dragged his dead parents for who knows how long all the way to a graveyard, that dude has some strength. He is literally described by Erica as rotund in the middle, meaning he is not really skinny. I can tell when people don't look at references of actual people when drawing him either because his body type IS A BODY TYPE THAT FAT PEOPLE HAVE MORE THAN SKINNY PEOPLE. You literally cannot be super skinny and be rotund in the middle, because that pear shape Sock has is 100% not because of his bone structure tbh. I don't know, it's something that bugs me a lot, it's like a slap in the face because I have the same body type that he does, and I am a relatively fat person tbh (and also, idk why non-fat people get so offended when people say fat? It doesn't affect a lot of us people with bigger builds)

People tend to also romanticize Sock's homicidal thoughts and actions. It is NOT something to romanticize at all, and it is a mental struggle. Most of those thoughts and urges in a person are caused by a trauma response, which this heavily implies that Sock may have some form of trauma. The whole "thinking that his killing is a silly goofy thing" is actually really damn offensive, and this is coming from someone who has gone to a mental hospital 3 times for suicidal & homicidal thoughts and actions. (I am better do not worry about that lol) Sock obviously struggles with it, it is just like any other mental disorder. It should not be romanticized in any way.
But I want to clarify that I donāt mean everyone in the fandom is like this, but I have experienced this amongst some of the adults for the most part. I donāt like the way people treat Providence in this fandom.
A lot of people seem to mischaracterize or even villainize her, while treating Mephistopheles like heās the most perfect person who could do no harm. Sometimes it has to do with peopleāsā¦ attraction towards Mephistopheles, other times it truly feels like Misogyny in itself and it saddens me especially with Providence not even having screen time yet. All Iām saying is Providence deserves better.
I guess this is more of a hot take then a Confession but oh well
