Swifties won at the Grammys this year, let’s be honest
one single thread of gold tied me to you
Tonight the story continues, as the music video for “willow” drops at midnight eastern. I’m forever grateful to the following creatives who have helped and guided me to be able to direct my own videos: Cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto, producer Jil Hardin, 1st AD Joe ‘Oz’ Osbourne, Co-1st AD Ev Salomon, Exec Producer Rebecca Skinner, editor Chancler Haynes, set designers Ethan Tobman and Regina Fernandez and visual effects geniuses Grant Miller and David Lebensfeld. Thank you to our medical inspector who made sure every precaution was taken for our safety. I’ll see you guys in the YouTube premiere page chat before midnight to answer some questions 🧙♀️

folklore: the long pond studio sessions - Taylor about This Is Me Trying
“William Bowery is Joe, as we know. And Joe plays piano beautifully, and he’s always just playing and making things up and kind of creating things. And ‘exile’ was crazy ‘cause Joe had written that entire piano part, that… [scats] and it was singing the Bon Iver part, the ‘I can see you standing honey, with his arms around your body. Laughing but the jokes not funny at all’… yeah he [Joe[ was just singing it. And I was entranced and asked if, we could keep writing that one. It was pretty obvious that it should be a duet 'cause he’s got such a low voice and it sounded really good sung down there in that register. And then, we’re really, really, really big Bon Iver fans. And you know, we know that Aaron knows him”

“I’ve got cats fighting in the background on the bed. The cats were going in and out because if I were to close the door on them they’d meow.”
ive literally never felt as heard as taylor saying ‘this is me trying’ is about mental illness and how people with illnesses dont get enough credit just for trying and how other people just dont understand how hard it is or dont get credit for how hard they have to try to just get to where they are and it may look like a small step to another person - but it’s huge to themselves
the idea of hearing a taylor album for the first time...... but knowing all the lyrics already
spending a bajillion dollars just to be cyberbullied by a bunch of swifties
"I was surprised it was RED [that was in the top 100 of the 500 Greatest Album of all the time] to be honest with you. Because RED was like the first time I ever ventured outside Nashville and, kind of, was just in full expolration mode. Almost like a songwriter apprenticeship. Like, I wanted to see how every producer that I admired worked and I got to on RED."
- Taylor on on RED in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums Podcast
So I guess this answer everything, according to this Taylor is not involved in the purchase of her masters and never will be as 🛴 benefits from future use.
Taylor says that she has already started re-recording her music I for one can’t wait.
Bout to show up at your party ACM Awards 😺
The next thematic composition that I put together from the album is out now 🌙 Listen to “folklore: the sleepless nights chapter” here:
Listen to folklore: the sleepless nights chapter - EP by Taylor Swift.
this is a big mood rn 🥺
the girls love tay, what can we say?
No pop songs at all. It’s as far beyond Lover as Lover was beyond Reputation. She’s always relished her dramatic creative zigzags, but this is easily her most audacious move, full of story-telling depth she’s never come close to before. Some of us have spent years dreaming Taylor would do a whole album like this, but nobody really dreamed it would turn out this great. Her greatest album — so far.
- Rob Sheffield - Rolling Stone - Taylor Swift Leaves Her Comfort Zones Behind on the Head-Spinning, Heartbreaking ‘Folklore’ - 4.5/5
rob forever.
“Some of us have spent years dreaming Taylor would do a whole album like this...” that sums it up for me.
