Cadavurn are rumored to be urns belonging to people whose families have long since passed and forgotten them. They peek through the various cracks and watch from the unmanned parts of cemeteries and derelict mausoleums. If captured by a trainer, they require intensive care and possibly restoration to their existing urn to be considered friendly. Offerings are dependent on the location of where they were captured, between oranges, sweets to money or incense.

Caskadaver that are found in the wild are significantly more violent and insidious than those raised and evolved with trainers. Legend has it that these pokemon were created when locals were terrified that whoever was buried would return to haunt them. These ghost pokemon would either be submerged in a freshly dug grave or in crypts, waiting for an unsuspecting mourner to pass by.

Bouncharoo are known as a bullied child’s best friend, similar to Drampa, they love their chosen child to bits and will step up to plate if they are faced with adversity. Although not to the extent of burning said bully’s house down, rumor has it that they will secretly train their human child to be skilled martial artists. Many favor kicking styles as it’s beneficial for fighting or fleeing.

Kangaspounch are rarely seen by themselves unless released or shamed to exile. Many fighting dojos have them as mascots or teachers for expert fighters. They’ve expanded their fighting style to include punching and tail sweeps. A fight between two of these fighting pokemon are highly discouraged as neither would back down until the other doesn’t get up again.

What? Starters are evolving!

Gifauna. Grass.

More mobile than Giflora, they develop very strong leg muscles that can rival a hitmonlee. Pyroar used to be their natural predators until the region’s died out due to overhunting, allowing these pokemon to thrive successfully. Gifauna are often seen in groups called canopies. The floral stocks on males are purely decorative to attract mates and indicate social standing amongst each other. Different flowers usually signify which tower they belong to. They are distantly related to Girafarig.

Searneo. Fire/Steel.

This pokemon evolves by melding metal to it. Once it does, their appetite turns insatiable and they actively seek out specific metals. Females tend to gravitate towards gold, copper and brass while males seek out silver, steel and tin. Entire gold mines have been stripped of their metals when female Searneo take root. While Coalossal despise Searneo for ‘vandalizing’ mines, they have a commensalistic relationship with Sizzlipede, with the bug pokemon hiding near their nests if in danger.

Duckysea. Water/Flying.

Duckysea loses some of its shell as they grow, the space no longer accommodating to their growing size. This pokemon starts sampling from everything, small fish pokemon, bugs, reeds, grain and anything else within range. Park goers are terrorized often during romantic picnics when Duckysea hisses in intimidation. The primary competition for resources is Lickingtung, both fighting for the title of biggest active eater. Sadly, it will flee from awakened Snorlax due to size.

The first Gym Leader of the Kioné region. The water type expert Jet.

A firefighter dedicated to her job. She's pretty laid back when she's off the clock.

Kionian ekans lay their eggs in the ocean, making breeding programs for this species difficult for conservation efforts. Similar to Kanto goldeen, they are not recommended for aquariums. Not only is their poison enough to kill a couple of snorlax, but they're escape artists by sneaking into tubes.

This species of arbok have their own special markings on their bodies rather than on their 'hoods'. They can be seen on beaches searching for water pokemon or the odd wingull to eat. Beach goers are discouraged from approaching them since they are just as poisonous as their pre evolved forms. Instead of a bite and release, they instead bite and chew their venom into their intended target.

Legend has it that pigirt were created from mudslides after a heavy rain, but in actuality they are a key part of their ecosystem helping diglett by tilling the earth to replenish nutrients. The flowers on their backs are native to the area they inhabit. Many a botanist have used them to bring back endangered plants that are facing trouble via deforestation.

Terraswine are hulking pokemon that preserve energy and helping forest against erosion by rooting themselves near ancient trees. Beware of their temper, mother terraswine are comparable to landslides and won't stop until the danger either had fled out of sight or has cease movement.

Buneary from this region blend in so well into the snow they are often jokingly referred to as snow vaporeon. Their feet act as natural snow shoes and males would use them in mock battles and the warren use a series of stomps for communication. No two warrens have similar rhythms.

Kione Lopunny are more evasive than the mainland variety, using their fluffy ears as shields for harsher blows. In addition, a mainland Lopunny would soon find themselves in a dirty fight as Kione Lopunny use their environment such as snow and dirt to make up for the disadvantage.

Murkrow can be found in various places in a human city, often pharmacies or drug stores to 'sell' berries to either Pokemon or humans to return said profits to their evolved leader. Temperament and benevolence is dependant on if a Murkrow is part of a Contract or not.

Murkrow occupy areas called municipalities that are often inhabited by a Contract of Murkrow that is lead by a Nostrokrow. Like Chansey and audino, these pokemon are natural healers that use their knowledge of berries instead of their natural ability. Inexperienced murkrow will sometimes pass off a cherubi or a bounsweet as a healing berry.

Nostrokrow are a very flashy bird Pokemon, a popular contender in the Kione Beauty circuits. The primary criteria are the voluminous chest and tail feathers for the males and the size/extravagance of the females head crest. These head crests are so popular that affluent women often wear hats inspired by that years winner.

Nostrokrow are notorious as Honchkrow in how they treat the Murkrow in their Contract. While protecting them and treating them as well as unrealated bird pokemon do, they do kick out Murkrow that do not meet their standard in healing or payment after a certain age. Hatchlings/youngsters are often given passes until a year old. Rumor has it that the evolved Berry Doctor in the area is an indictator of either a deadly disease or poison in the area, often serving as a colorful warning to travelers to steer clear.

So this entry is split into two sections (think how in versions there are different entries). The last line in the insinuation on how these pokemon evolve. While Murkrow is holding a sachet and being poisoned while reaching a certain level, they evolve into this kione varient.

Aracute are usually the logos for beginning designer houses of the kione region. Their webbing is thicker and often used as ribbons for dresses. They are sticklers for measurement and will often adjust sleeves and collars of their trainers as a sign of affection. Depending on the berry they eat as a treat, the color of the ribbon webbing changes.

Aribbonid are perfectionist by trade but are patient to beginning seamstress/tailors. If treated well, they will offer gifts of sewing needles, spools of thread or live bug Pokemon wrapped in a bow to reward your hard work. Their favorite resting place is hugging their trainer's wrist as they work on their next project.

Aribbonid also act as babysitters for Swadloon in exchange for Leavanny to take care of Aribbonid eggs. Aribbonid and Leavanny are often seen collaborating to create works of art in the wild.

Hey guys! Quick update. From now on the pokedex entries will be written by @tea-cake-and-melancholy. From now on she will be my co-admin of the blog.

The Water/Dragon type line based on Koi fish. Complete with alternate patterns!

Gupqua are found in all bodies of fresh water. A competitor to magikarp, they bully them outside of any area they inhabit.

Aqoi are a staple in rich establishments with various colors and in groups. A status of wealth is to keep a pond of them or either a smaller group with similar color/pattern or having a large group. Ancient fortune tellers used to predict the future based on the swimming pattern of 13 Aqoi.

Drakoi are favorites in the Pokemon contest circuits, comparable to melodic in beauty but are given the name of Blue Oni in temperament when compared to garados. Legend has it that each pattern was linked to 8 royal families. These pokemon can survive out of water for 5 days to slither from one pond to another, making captivity a crucible if conditions aren't met.

The character not chosen by the player will be your rival. As your rival they'll have their own signature pokemon. The bug type Glavea and the poison type Kionian Smeargle.

The Normal/Dark Racconist pretends to be a shiny Eevee to fool people to treat it as a king.

Racoonist has a peculiar place in the region. Out of region trainers are first excited to see a shiny eevee just wandering around and thus treat them like royalty. The issue arises when they try to evolve them to any eevee evolution. The local trainers know better and either treat them as pests or take them in as pets with no intention of evolving them.

Burglaroon are very clean creatures that wash their food in freshwater rivers or cleverly use residential water supplies. When one is caught as a racoonist and trained as an eevee, they evolve with a small trait in relation of the training or stone exposed. Locals differentiate wild and trained individuals based on the absence of any of said traits.
