Well today is submission day and with my proposal document all handed in I wanted to quickly reflect back on where this project all came from. (I wanted to include this in my proposal but alas the word count was not in my favour)
From 2017 until 2019 I worked for Northumbria Univeristy as a Graduate Ambassador. As part of my work there I got to help develop and lead sessions for the Widening Participation team whose main aim was to help with the attainment levels of students. This included the Key Stage 2 work in Primary schools you will find most English Universities undertake in some form.
At Northumbria we developed 3 interactive presentations for the three core subjects - Maths, English and Science. These sessions revolves around the national curriculum and were meant to show students that not only could learning be fun but also it could be relevant in real world situations. In was when thinking back to how valuable my work was during these two years that I first came up with the idea for Super Class.
Here are a few photos that my former colleagues at Northumbria Univiersty have kindly shared with me and allowed me to in turn share with you! They show where Super Class, and indeed Super Bun, began.
