we joke about procrastination but nothing is worse than the nauseating feeling of having every intention of doing something but physically not being capable of doing it and then feeling like you want to throw up because the deadline is just getting closer and closer.

Women: Why do men spit in public?
Men: Where ELSE should we spit? On you??? Do you want us to spit on YOU!?! Alright, FINE.
Women: A teenage girls bra strap shouldn't be a reason to send her home.
Men: Okay. Okay, alright. Alright, okay, okay. Well why don't I just PULL MY DICK OUT IN CLASS THEN!?!?
Women: A person should have the right to an abortion.
Men: Ohhhhh women want abortions! Well men should be able to rape them, that seems like the logical equivalent of this situation.
Women: Women need to defend themselves from violent men.
Men: Oh, what, you can hit me but I can't hit you!? why CAN'T I hit you? WHEN can I hit you??? Tell me when I can hit you, please. I want to know. I need to know.
Women: Men overreact a lot.
Men: WHOA. Why would you go there? Why do you generalize all men like that? I feel so attacked. This is so hurtful.
Men: This is why no one likes feminists.

Columbia University student Emma Sulkowicz carried her mattress across the stage at her graduation ceremony this morning. Sulkowicz and her friends have been carrying the mattress around for the whole academic year in protest of the way the school handles sexual assault issues.  As New York Magazine explains, for her senior thesis in visual art, Mattress Performance (Carry That Weight), Sulkowicz vowed that she would carry her dorm-room mattress whenever she was on campus as long as her alleged rapist remained on campus. âThe piece could potentially take a day, or it could go on until I graduate,â she said.Â
For more on the project, check out our podcast âFeminism on Campus.âÂ

if you make fun of men for not being masculine then not only are you probably transphobic, but youâre also probably not a real feminist since youâre supporting the idea that femininity is weak
Do you know how many sit downs I got at the label about that? A lot of me making this album was me going in the studio, making something I loved, and showing it to the label and getting a principleâs-office discussion. Like, âYoung lady, you know youâre not going to sell as many albums if youâre not labeled as country.â I wasnât kicking and screaming, but I was very firm about the fact that to call this album a country album would be the biggest mistake. Because when youâre trying to fool people, you insinuating that you think theyâre stupid. And insinuating that people arenât going to see through your transparent motives is the one worst mistake you can make as an artist who is supposed to respect their fans. That was my argument. I got really, really lectured about not putting my name on the title on the front of the album coverâthat was fun. And then it was suggested to me that we use a different picture for the album cover because, they kept saying, âWe need eyes, lips, hair on an album cover. You know no oneâs going to know who that is.â And I was like, âThatâs the point. Weâre starting over.â Also, the reason I didnât put my face on the album cover is because I didnât want people to fully diagnose the emotional DNA of this album before it came out. If Iâm smiling, itâs a happy record; if Iâm frowning, itâs a sad record. I wanted people to be able to detect no emotion on my face. It was just taken on this â80s Polaroid camera that I have. I knew that I was doing something that I fully believed in when I was confronted with these people on my team, who were only going by what they knewâwhich is that there hasnât been a successful country-to-pop crossover, really ever, who has sold as well as their country career did. Theyâd say âYouâre not going to sell as much.â and I would say, âI donât care. This is the album I made, this is what Iâm going to call it, this is how Iâm going to label it.â I knew that Iâd made songs that my fans would like; I was like, âYou guys donât know them like I do. You sit in an office, Iâm out there at shows with them, Iâm on tumblr talking to them, I know what they want from me.â Thank God it worked out. If weâd sold one album less than a million in the first week, it would have been two years of âTaylor, we told you.â So glad we sold almost 1.3 [million] in the first week.

I am all about stories where the hero and villain know each other very well and were once friends, but I could deal with it being used another way.
What if instead of being used for drama, for wistfulness and pleas to join the other side, it was more like the hero looking over a battlefield going Seriously, who does she think sheâs kidding, sheâs been using the same chess strategy since we were seven or the villain picking a headquarters in a specific climate because she knows the hero hates hot weather or deciding Send in some forces to round up all the copies of his favorite poetâs work, thatâll tick him off.
Or most of all them still having inside jokes with each other.

Rosa rugosa
a.k.a. Rugosa rose, Japanese rose, Ramanas rose, Beach tomato, Sea tomato, Saltspray rose, Beach rose, Potato rose, or Turkestan rose.
This salt-tolerant East Asian rose has a near cosmopolitan distribution in sandy areas of the temperate zone. It is valuable to rose breeders, as it is resistant to rose rust and rose black spot, and hybridises readily.
The blossoms are very fragrant, and the petals make an excellent potpourri. The petals can also be used as bandages in a pinch, due to their antiseptic and antifungal nature.
The fruits are of an unusually large size (hence the monikers of âBeach tomatoâ and âSea tomatoâ), and are often harvested for use in jam, syrup, and jelly, as well as a nutritious tea. They contain three times the Vitamin C of an orange.
This plant is considered a naturalised species in Europe and and invasive species in North America, but is nonetheless often planted as hedging, because it is exceedingly low-maintenance and vigorous.
It bears a resemblance to a more Northerly species â the emblem of my home province â the Prickly Wild Rose (Rosa acicularis).
