Adventure- it feeds my soul. There is very little more exhilarating, yet calm and peaceful than finding yourself engulfed in all that this beautiful world has to offer; all that mother nature created. In the depths of the forest, in the midst of a waterfall- it’s amazing how small you realize you are, yet how fulfilled and empowered you feel at the same moment in time.

When you’re away from the noise of the city, away from the hustle and bustle of life, that’s when you can truly sit with your own thoughts, your own being and feel wholly connected to this world, this life.  It is at times like these that my heart is overcome with gratitude, joy, peace and happiness.

And with every new adventure, every new discovery, I walk away with a little more of myself; a part of me I never knew I needed, never knew was possible to uncover. With each experience, I take back not just a memory, but these feelings that are nothing short of wonderful.  These feelings that I can bring with me to every experience and every encounter this life has to offer.

It is truly amazing how each experience can shape you if you let it. I know my previous trip to NYC could have brought on anxiety and nerves due to the pace of life within the city. But it is because of my past experiences and my ability to gain a positive perspective from each of them, that I was able to stop in the middle of all the noise and people passing by and feel a sense of calm; a sense of peace. These feelings allowed me to be enthusiastic and relish every bit of that trip. It allowed me to find the calm within the hustle.

Don’t worry, in due time I will share the “before” to these feelings- the journey that has led me to where I am today. I know I am not where I am ‘meant to be’ yet, but I’ve come a long way from where I was; especially mentally and spiritually. Discovering the world around me has ignited so many feelings within me- it has led to so much self-discovery and opened up my soul.

This isn't pretty but it got the job done! 👍🏼✅ After going to the gym to get a leg workout in, I decided to head out and take advantage of this gorgeous February day and do some plyometrics outside! 😃☀️ Have you ever tried jumping rope on the grass? Definitely not as was as concrete, but I love a challenge 😃 I hope everyone took advantage of the day they were given today and made the most of it! Here's to a successful start to a new week! 😁🎉💪🏼

I had a conversation with someone today who told me that we need to "get it together and figure things out" because at my age, they owned their home. This conversation went on and I will admit, it did upset me. It upset me because I love this person dearly and didn't think they would place societal standards and stereotypes on my life- it upset me because it made me realize they really don't see things the way I do- they don't see how happy We are and how we view our own successes, how hard we have and continue to work to become better in every aspect of our lives- yeah we may not have it all right now, but what's important is that we are happy and continue to build and better ourselves to live the life WE WANT, how we want. ✨🙏🏼💕 Don't live your life by someone else's standards, by how someone else believes your life should look at certain age, a certain time in your life. Just because someone else was married with kids and a house by the age you are now and you may not have some or all of those things doesn't mean you're a failure. Success comes in many forms- and to me success isn't measured by how many "things" I have. I measure by success by my relationships with friends, family, and God; by the number of times I've made a difference in someone else's life, by the amount of times I smiled or laughed through out the day while making memories; by how long and hard I've worked on something, on grinding while working towards achieving my own goals. Always remember that just because some else defines their own success and life in a certain way, doesn't mean that's how you have to live and define your own. Be so happy and confident in your own life and abilities that you don't have to worry about how others see you- as long as you're working hard, giving 100% and living a happy, fulfilled life- that's all that matters.

Sitting here on this Saturday morning putting deep thought into how I want the rest of this year to go, what I need to do to make my dreams become my life- making a list and a plan to execute. 🤔✍🏼 I have been starting each day with the "Confident Woman Devotional" and really thinking and reflecting on what each day's reading means for me. I'm living my life with intent, purpose and focus. it's up to me and God to point my life in the direction of my passion, my calling- and only I have to power to live out that passion. Just another early morning, no flex, messy hair selfie 💁🏽 this morning I woke up on the WRONG side of the bed- i woke up and immediately felt defeated and stressed about finances, work, etc. 🙇🏽 i caught myself thinking negative thoughts and immediately told myself to quit- that I had the power to change it all. So I went to gym, got it a great workout 💪🏼 put my big girl pants on and took on the day with a determined attitude- and man did it feel GREAT! 👍🏼✨ I felt so motivated and driven to work hard and be the best and give 💯% with every task, no matter how big or small. I conquered the day instead of letting it defeat me 😀👍🏼

Post workout feel good vibes 😄✨ in all seriousness, yesterday morning I was in slump- where you feel unmotivated, useless, defeated, lonely, etc. I could have succumbed to those feelings and let my whole day go by feeling down and being non productive. Instead, I made the conscious decision to get myself up and moving to do things that I knew would boost my mood. I got out into the sunshine, enjoyed nature, saw my boyfriend and hit the gym. Because of these actions I was able to turn my mood around. And today, I woke up feeling motivated AF, strong, powerful, confident and cable. We ALL have the power within us to determine our mindset, to direct how the day will go. Choose wisely.
