Is this really acceptable?

While some international sports organisations are lifting restrictions on Russian athletes, Russia continues to wage its war of aggression – and to reward those who support and take part in its invasion of Ukraine. It is already integrating participants in the war into its Paralympic movement.

This is why the International Olympic Committee’s decision to lift its recommendations regarding the participation of Russian athletes is unacceptable and should concern everyone. So does the earlier decision by the International Paralympic Committee and some federations. International sport is built on fair play and respect. It must never become a platform for those linked to Russia’s aggression and terror.

The flag of a state that carries out daily attacks on civilians, commits atrocities and occupies foreign territory has no place at international sporting events. Its anthem should never be played at competitions created to celebrate the values of peace and friendship. This is hypocrisy at its worst.

Allowing this undermines the very values international sport stands for. International sport must not be a place for normalising aggression.

id really like to know how the forced kidappings of aboriginal and Torres Strait islander children by the Australian government of 1910-1970ish compare and contrast with the modern day forced kidnappings of Ukrainian children by the Russian government. both groups share the similarities of; the kidnappings by an oppressor group, this being deemed by the opressing group as "beneficial", being forced to give up (for lack of a better word, cant think of something stronger) their culture and beliefs. But obviously there are SOOO many differences.

I'd just like to add a note here to make something extremely clear, whilst I did say the governments of 1910-1970 Australia and modern day Russia (obviously these aren't STRICT time periods) as they were/are the main perpetrators of these heinous actions, the people who support these things or act neutral in these situations (THERES NO ROOM FOR NEUTRALITY IN THESE SITUATIONS! YOU EITHER CONDEMN AT THE VERY LEAST OR SUPPORT. silence = support) are fucking evil themselves and shouldn't be defended "b-b-b but they're not their government uwu" shut up. just shut up, go and take a grade 10 English class learn some critical thinking and then you can talk again :)

"Oh I only use it so I can figure out what to make during the week with what I have"

The most popular website as you type in "recipes" into google have sections where you click dinner- quick and easy and those usually rely on staples + 1 or 2 items. I found 30 recipes on chicken alone.

"I had a writing idea, so I typed a few sentences into Chat GPT and I was able to write 20 pages with it."
