Damian banged hard on the door, his bloody hand staining the white wood. Bruises covered his face and body as his other hand pressed against the bullet wound in his side. "Irene!" He practically growled into the microphone, "Irene... Help..."
Irene was making some tea when she heard Damian’s plea for help. The sound of his voice made her blood run cold, and in her haste to get to the foyer, she dropped her tea cup. It shattered as she made a run for the front door, but she ignored it. Damian was the only thing on her mind as she threw the door open, tears springing to her eyes when she saw the state he was in. “Oh my lord! Damian, darling…” She wrapped her arms around him, not caring that his blood stained her silk chemise. “Come inside, let me help you.”
Damian coughed up blood onto her wood floor before practically collapsing in her arms. “I’m sorry, fuck, I’m so sorry I’ve been gone.” He groaned in pain, “I-I had some dealings with a certain Irish asshole and it didn’t work out too well. I ended up like this trying - OW FUCK! - trying to protect Serephine.” He hissed, screaming through his teeth as he pulled out the bullet in his side, throwing it on the floor.

Irene stood, horrified, as she watched Damian extract a bullet with nothing but his own fingers. It was barely a relief that she wouldn’t have to cut it out of him herself. She was worried about him, and at the mention of Serephine, she was now worried about the girl, too. But the most important thing in that moment was getting Damian settled and comfortable so Irene could administer the first aid that was needed. “Shh, it’s alright, darling. You can fill me in in a moment. But for now let’s have a little lie down, shall we?”
With some difficulty, she managed to get him over to the couch. There was blood everywhere, but Irene didn’t give it a second thought. “Is Serephine okay?”
Damian groaned loudly once he crawled onto the couch, running a bloody hand through his hair. “Serephine’s fine. She managed to get out of there and hide while I ran here. But Moriarty… He’s probably still after me, though he doesn’t know where I am.” He spat, looking up at her. “I’ve missed you so much. I love you, Irene, I am so sorry I was gone for so long.”

“Hush,” Irene said sternly, pressing a finger to his lips. “It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been gone or why, despite how much I’ve missed you. You’re here now, and that’s all I care about.” She removed her finger and brushed her lips over his forehead. She was scared. Scared for Serephine and Damian, if Moriarty really was after them. But she managed to keep it from showing, her countenance remaining calm, if only a little bit concerned. “I’m glad she’s safe. And as long as you’re here with me, you will be, too. I love you.”
Damian whimpered softly when she kissed him. He moved slightly and then kissed her on the lips passionately. God, he had missed the taste of her immensely. However, the kiss didn’t last long since he was still bleeding and the wound on his side still hurt. “Babe, not gonna lie, I would love to fuck your brains out right now, but I’m kinda bleeding here… So if you wouldn’t mind getting a first aid kit of some kind, that would be really helpful.”
