Tagged by @uptownlowdown to do this OC questionnaire, and I chose Andi.

fandom (or og story): Andi is an MCU OC and I created a canon divergence story for Avengers: Endgame where Tony and Natasha are still alive and Steve didn't go back to the past.

She's originally an art student from a completely ordinary universe and suffers from severe anxiety. The Space Stone transports her to the Avengers Compound and gives her its powers of teleportation and later telekinesis.

The story is mainly slice-of-life with Andi staying with the Avengers as they help her get back to her universe. Bruce becomes her mentor and she gets stronger with her powers, and she becomes more confident in herself and is even able to make friends when she didn't have any back home.

age: 18 (Turns 19 in the middle of her story.)

species: Human

race/ethnicity/class: White American from Boston, Massachusetts. Her family is upper-middle class, they could easily afford tuition for an in-state, public art college.

describe them physically: Andi is about 5'6 and has an average build, but overall she looks very frail. She has a round face with a very soft jawline, a dull and pale complexion, large brown eyes with noticeable dark circles underneath them, a prominent nose, and full lips.

Her hair is very straight and thin, with a mousy brown color. She has straight bangs and her hair is above chest-length, she either wears it down or in a messy high ponytail.

describe how they dress: Andi prioritizes comfort over everything, she loves sweaters and cardigans the most. Her style is very plain and simple, she tends to wear clothes that are baggy and covers her body. Most of her clothes are in dark and muted colors, mostly warms.

When she's gifted a suit, it's in the form of a cyan zip-up jacket with a star pattern on it. With nanotech, it can transform into a complete outfit with sweatpants and slip-on shoes.

favorite things: Pancakes, tea, sweaters, plushies, sunrooms, books, art supplies, the color orange, hugs from her friends, The Wizard of Oz.

least favorite things: Thunderstorms, spicy food, loud noises, hospitals, Star Wars.

hobbies: Drawing, painting, yoga, tai chi, sightseeing.

quirks: Squeaks when surprised, makes herself as small as possible when sitting down, trips over her own words often, doesn't know how to swim or drive a car.

what's up in the romance department (and if they're aro, are they in a queerplatonic relationship): Andi is a lesbian, something she discovers for herself during her time in the other world when she meets Kate Bishop, both of them are mentored by Avengers and hit it off after a little bit of awkwardness. The two become close friends and she develops a crush on her. It takes her a very long time to confess her feelings, but eventually they start a relationship and take things slow.

best qualities: Selfless and thinks about others before herself, always there to lend a hand or cheer someone up, good with children and animals, a lot braver than she thinks she is.

worst flaws: Can't handle criticism well and quits easily, apologizes too much and constantly beats herself up, internalizes her feelings, struggles to communicate with others.

would you say they're a good person: Yes!

fears/phobias: Never seeing her family again, being made fun of or socially rejected, most bugs, drowning.

tell us in a few lines how you got the idea for them/how they came to be: For years, I just really wanted to make a self-indulgent OC who was friends with all of my favorite characters and had cool powers. It's a pretty common fanfic plot in this fandom where an OC from the real world gets teleported to the MCU and this is my own spin on it.

fandom (or og story): wilma is my sole survivor for fallout 4! she is a boston blueblood descended from pre-war, pre-divergence north east freedmen. a former debutante and army nurse, wilma holds the title of minutemen general and friend of the railroad. 

years after she and preston get married and start a family, she hangs up the general's uniform to become a midwife, helping deliver babies all over a now safe and thriving commonwealth ❤️

species: human

race/ethnicity/class: black american with a multiracial mixed father. the langes were upper-middle class due to their involvement in local politics.

describe them physically: wilma is 5’6” with a solid, shapely build. her hair is a mix of 3C/4A texture, and styled in a half-up pompdour with pinned locks free falling over her shoulders. she has greenish hazel siren eyes and dimples on her cheeks.

describe how they dress: wilma usually wears the general’s uniform when they’re doing minutemen work: talking to prospective settlements, meetings at the castle, etc. if she’s working hard gardening or building something, she’ll wear a breezy playsuit or overalls she can get dirty in (if it’s warm) or her vault suit, with or without the top unzipped and sleeves tied at the waist.

in her off hours, she is an absolute sweater girl (and probably modeled as one briefly pre-war) she likes dainty tops that tie at the collar or waist and cigarette pants/jeans. likes when preston takes her out because she can wear a dress ❤️

favorite things: yao guai roast served with fresh baked razorgrain bread, desk fans, black coffee, her railway rifle, watching the sun come up, purified water, diamond city radio, and preston’s hat

least favorite things: radstorms, super mutants, food that’s too irradiated to consume, feral ghouls, her old home in sanctuary

hobbies: sewing, experimenting with recipes, sketching/journaling, building things, hunting for pre-war tchotchkes and treasures 

quirks: sings/hums old hymns from her childhood, writes down EVERYTHING in her traveling notebook, always checks her hair/clothes when passing a reflective surface

what's up in the romance department (and if they're aro, are they in a queerplatonic relationship): wilma is with preston garvey! he is one of her earliest companions and as such, he has been present for a lot of her post-vault escapades. there’s camaraderie and mirth, even platonically, but garvey’s feelings blossom fast for his commanding officer.. and wilma falls too. they are comrades in arms who are devoted to the cause and to each other. 

preston admires her knowledge, tenacity, and grit, but there is a certain softness to her that is not of this world and it makes him want to protect her. he’s taken by the way she carries herself and her little sentimentalities he’s picked up on while they traveled together. 

they end up getting married a few months post-game and have 4 children altogether: shaun wilcott-garvey, and leon, ellen, and alma garvey. 

best qualities: charming and charismatic, cares about others’ wellbeing, holds herself accountable, intuitive, has a big heart full of courage, resilient

worst flaws: a know-it-all, can be arrogant and judgemental, vengeful, snarky when she’s in a bad mood, a little vain

tell us in a few lines how you got the idea for them/how they came to be: wilma is an amalgamation of one of my earlier couriers from 2014 and the first sole survivor i ever made who actually looked a lot more like georgia in 2017! i remade wilma about 7 years ago and took the name from an oc that would eventually become yvette, my institute scientist.

given that american history is such a big theme in the game, especially the setting, i really wanted to incorporate wilma's very deep roots as a black bostinian and how the history of her family would inform her background and decisions as a railroad-aligned general.

he would not fucking say that, but with disability.. he would not fucking be able bodied. sick n tired of characters walking away from multiple life changing injuries without a scratch. let’s get some natural consequences in here.

give that knife/sword fight survivor nerve damage. give the character who was shot in the gut a stoma. give that fire survivor lung damage and an oxygen cannula. give that leg injury survivor a cane. give that starvation survivor gastroparesis. give that spinal injury survivor a manual chair or powerchair.

while we’re at it, give your characters congenital disabilities too, just because. give them intellectual and development disabilities. give them acquired and postviral illnesses. dare to make somebody bedbound. for me.

Like obviously I support personal interpretations but guys how are we all not collectively agreeing that their brain is FUCKED UP.

That they are mentally disabled in some way shape or form.

People getting head injuries and living isn’t some fallout phenomenon it’s a real thing and it can leave people fucked up for life.

Why don’t we give them memory problems???

Or have them react to situations extremely disproportionately, and be prone to anger???

Or even just slur their speech a little bit because it takes a moment to figure out how to talk!

I want more couriers with actual brain injuries from getting shot in the head!!!

I appreciate that people put in the effort to amend fnv’s bad decision of not adding in a scar of any kind, that was a very very cool decision almost all of us went with.

But I just wanna see angst about the courier’s brain going to shit because it’s got a severe injury and I wanna see how all the companions react to it. I wanna see how BENNY reacts to what HE did.

advice i think we should tell children is that when adults say stuff like ‘now that i’m an adult i get really excited about stuff like coffee tables and bathrooms and rugs etc’ they don’t mean ‘and now i don’t care about blorbo and squimbus from my childhood tv shows anymore’ bc your average adult still loves all the same pop culture stuff they always did; they just have a greater appreciation for the mundane as well. growing up just means you can enjoy life twice as much now. you can get really excited about a new stuffed animal AND about a new kitchen sponge. peace and love

for my entire artistic journey i've wanted to draw a rendition of Isadora in the style of Dante Gabriel Rossetti's Beata Beatrix... but I absolutely did not have the skills to pull off the vision I wanted ... TILL NOW

im v proud of how this came out!! i specifically used a palette from the original painting to capture that same sort of dreamy sundazed look to it. im especially proud at how the skyhold structure came out -- i was def having a very hard time w the bricks till something clicked and im pleased with how they came out !!

Andi doesn’t like to draw attention to herself for any reason, so she’s pretty lowkey when it comes to talking about her identity. With that being said, she doesn’t hide herself, especially when everyone in her circle is very supportive.

I don’t think Penny really considers her orientations as an identity, I’m not sure if labels like aroace really exist in the wasteland. All she knows is that she never wants to be in love, marry, or have children. If someone asks her about it, she’ll just say she’s not interested and move on.
