I know I’ll be ok. I get that it’s for the best. I know I shouldn’t cry because “I’m better.” That I shouldn’t be with someone who doesn’t feel the same way about me. But none of that makes me feel any better right now. Right now I just want to stay curled up in a ball, letting my mind wonder why you looked at me that way yesterday, why you said what you said. And why it all just disappeared at the blink of an eye. Right now I’d just like to allow myself to feel. So I remember it next time when I think about you. And not the butterflies in my stomach or how happy I felt in that moment last time I saw you.
