“Why’d you guys break up anyways?” Marcel asked, purely out of curiosity.

“I just left to London and she stayed here... we never really broke up but I imagine she found someone else. She’s too beautiful to be alone for too long.”

“Sweetheart, I invented dangerous. I doubt there’s anything you can do that will surprise me. But, I’ll give you a chance to try and so, if you succeed– I will be genuinely impressed.”

He walked towards her stopping just inches from her. “Just impressed? Here I was hoping for more.”

“Well if that’s really the case, shouldn’t she be annoyed by your presence if not bothered?” Marcel asked, his brows threading into one another.

“She should be and she probably will be but until I find her I don’t have to worry.”

“Those are dangerous words that you speak, Katherine.”

Marcel shrugged, purposefully ignoring the first part. “ Your ex huh? How do you think that will go?”

“Probably as bad as you can imagine. I sort of left town when things were getting good between us. Then again, I’m sure she’ll be thrilled to see me.”

“Are you having any doubts?” Katherine arched one of her eyebrows playfully.

“No doubts, I just want to make sure that you will be able to handle my pretty face and hot body.”

“Anyhow, let’s not talk about Katherine anymore. She’s not worth all the attention. What about you? Looking for anyone in particular here?”

“I don’t know about all of that, I think she is.” He replied. “Yeah... my ex and her friends.”

Katherine flashed him a gorgeous smile. Tilting her head to the side, the vampire arched one of her eyebrows upwards “ Go on, don’t hold back on my account. Or would you rather offer me a demonstration?”

He smirked at the girl and licked his lips when she spoke. “Can you handle a demonstration, Kat?”

Marcel stared at the man for a brief couple of seconds, not knowing what to say. “ I guess you may have a point– but I know one thing, I wouldn’t do all that. Not to such an extent.”

“I don’t know what all she’s done but sure if you don’t want to go to that extent that’s fine.”

“Actually I’m much prettier. And a whole lot meaner, trust me. I met the guy.” Katherine shrugged nonchalantly, smirking as his blue eyes flashed. “ You have such pretty eyes, have I told you that? – Seems like you’re not just a pretty face after all.”

“I don’t doubt the prettier part.” He said with a smirk. Jackson chuckled and shook his head. “There’s so much more to me than a pretty face and great body.”
