TSP sketches I rescued from the 2022-2023 archives, a time before I changed my default online handle

To the singular person who asked about my process this is basically speaking directly to you [ @brainrotbiologist ] ! I put the rest under the cut :]

I start with a REALLY loose sketch, which then gets a 'base coat' where I usually colour in the skin and the background darker colour of the hair in flat-ish colours which I render over I also add in blush and initial shadows

This makes it look. insane. I also sketch them bald sometimes when I'm not quite sure how I was to position the hair, it also makes the drawing go through a crazy ugly phase For larger blocks of colour [like the sleeves] I don't bother colouring below the sketch cause it just gets blocked out regardless, I only do it for more nuanced areas like the face where I need to see my sketch lines initially

I purposefully render from the focal point outwards [in this case his face] cause it in turns makes it easier for everything else to be a little hazy and out of focus based entirely on how sick of drawing I am by the end of it Final layer is usually a multiply layer where I colour their entire silhouette in, set it to multiply, and with a large brush I take out the lighter areas of the image

Here's a slightly different [unfinished] example ! Here the sketch is more refined and just in a softer artstyle but basically the exact same method
