Spider just accepting his fate at that point
ok so when Jake, and just to clarify, a white human adult man who actively served in the Marines and the RDA on his own volition, whose avatar was undoubtedly paid for with blood money, grown in a lab, is blessed by Eywa to have his entire soul transfered, it's chill with 90% of the fan base and he is considered Na'vi, even when he struggles to conform to Eywa's laws and has made several questionable decisions, while being a full grown man who can make grown decisions.
but when Spider, a human teenager, molded by years of neglect and mistreatment, who is white passing but is actually white and Hispanic, who spent 16 years of his life committing himself to the ways of The People, was selflessly loyal to the Na'vi, to the point of being willing to die for them, who made one real mistake in life outside of being born to the wrong man, even when his willingness to protect the Na'vi with his life is truly undeserved, is organically blessed with two Pandoran features (that we've seen so far), with no blood money involved, by the Goddess herself... that's an issue?
the avatar fandom will excuse the bad decisions/behavior of the na'vi kids, that caused others to be harmed (i.e ao'nung leaving lo'ak in the middle of the ocean knowing full well he will most likely die bc he knows nothing of the danger out there, AND bullying lo'ak and kiri), saying "ohh but they are just kids~"
but when it's spider, a 16 years old kid, suddenly "he should've known better"...
the double standard in this fandom is truly sickening...
i'm not trying to say the kids have to be perfect, bc let's be real, they can't be, that's the whole point of being a kid. but people act as if spider has to be perfect. they scrutinise all his actions. bc he is human. bc he is Quaritch's son.

The early seasons of charmed are all about forbidden love - one of the sisters falls in love with an angel, the other one with a demon... anyways, the third sister should have been a lesbian, which would have been equally controversial in the late 90s.
HAPPY STAR WARS DAY ♡ may the force be with you!

"Numa made his presence felt through quiet heroics: no one fought harder for our survival, no one inspired more hope, and no one showed more compassion for the ones who suffered the most. Even though he was a new friend for most of us, I believe Numa was the best loved man on the mountain." - Nando Parrado
