“Well, if it isn’t the dog whisperer himself.” Malcolm called out from where he was sat at a table close to the entrance of the bar with some of his fellow SSR members. He had spotted the other man as soon as he entered the place, his overall paranoia causing him to always keep one eye on the door despite who he was or was not expecting to see. “Can’t say that we have any pooches in here for you to go all Snow White on- there are a couple of girls you can try your luck on, or dudes if that’s your thing.” Malcolm told him with a grin, as if he was genuinely trying to be helpful. “Don’t know if they’ll be as receptive to your charm as Fido though. The scowl and general demeanor of hating your existence really throws humans off.”
It had been a long and arduous day. Weston was looking forward to a cold beer and just relaxing at the bar. He really wasn’t up for any bullshit from anyone. Unfortunately this night was not one for that. He heard the voice from across the room, but planned on ignoring it. He picked up his beer taking a drink letting the words go past him. A few more words and it was too much to just ignore. He turned to face him, knowing he would regret it, but not able to just let it go. “You talk a lot for someone who looks like you do.” He said shaking his head. “Why don’t you just play with your little friends over there and leave me the fuck alone?” He said turning back to his beer.
