viktor tries so hard to distance himself from his loneliness- and by extension, his humanity- that he's willing to completely destroy the world in order to avoid it. and the only person who makes him feel seen, the only person who CAN remind him of his humanity and his value as a person, is jayce.

thinking of all the worlds where that never happened and viktor just ends up more alone makes me ache.
