What the Skeklings and young Skeksis look like to me. I had this idea that the Skeksis looked like the Rito from Zelda: Breath of the Wild when they were young because of their bird-like appearances.

I'm making my own seed world where some of the creatures there are the bird-like Skeksis because this is my headcanon of the urskek homeworld. Now, because they no longer look old and decrepit, since this is after the darkening and the Great Conjunction, basically after the events of The Dark Crystal, they've become one with their urru half. I imagine they look just like they did when they were young, just more reformed and revitalized look similar to the BoTW Rito. So they'd look similar to them. Rito Skeksis crossover

Several items are w t f moments.

Like SkekMal fighting only with honor, fair fights. I’m like SQWACK WHAT did you not see him YEET the fuck outta poor Hup? And go bowling with Rian? Are we not looking at the same skek? He would have killed him if it were not for Va’s divine, handsome intervention.

I mean there’s a lot to unpack here, esp for me and Gra-kins.

Anyone who’s written with me already knows I write him with a fiery edge. Pyromaniac who sets wife on fire ✅ Somehow I nailed that.

Secondly in my HC page I actually mentioned him messing around with medicinal, poisious herbs and plants. The Veneificum Path. Because I love that stuff and at the time it made sense for shamanism, I connected dots. Urdrupe ruled and even a dash of madder root for his red paint. So the idea of skekGra hovering over some baby mushrooms in his Grotto under The Circle Of Suns sounds brilliant to me. Nailed it.

But there’s little things that make me go huh?

For example. His arms, bondage. Um most skeks are already tucking those sensitive appendages away, so much so, they have become weak and atrophied under those carapaces and elaborate cages we see. I do not see how he would think that’s penance for his ‘sins’ I’m sure he was in the zone where he used them when he was in Conqueror Mode, now that that’s no more it seems he just kinda copied the fashion trend. Bondage kink, yes. Self bondage nah, polite pass.

Even their home sweet home. They picked a haunted tower with a reputation for a reason. Heresy would abound, Robin Hood and his merry men needed a forest to hide in. Gra n Goh chose a tower in the middle of hellfire desert. If they were simply laughed outta the castle and dismissed they could have taken up home in a much nicer locale.

The Nail is probably my biggest no-no.

I always saw The Conqueror as being favored. In a position of power, stamping down anyone or thing that stood up to skeksis rule but for him to get an epiphany and change teams mid game without any punishment for said transgression, I say is a load of poppycock. I can’t see skekSo simply shrugging, telling Gra ‘you do you bruh.’ And rolling on especially since the skeks only have so many exiled team members.

I mean that’s a heavy word. Traitor to the crown. Heresy. Fugitive. Rebel.

Change his status label that’s it? Is that soft-emperor I spy? Not evil. Are we looking at the same skeks? I mean they have carried out some nasty punishments in their time, to their own and not of their own. Why would Gra get off easy eh?

Turn around and pop a nail in his head to a tune to the crystal? Yeah no. Skek-dousing rod makes no sense. Because HE WOULD NEVER HURT his beloved. UrGoh. HellNo. I’d like to think that he was given the vision by Thra and therefore Thra fucking points his beak (and Gohs snout) in the right direction when they’re in the bowels of the planet looking for the shard of truth, creating the dual glaive. Crystals find you, speaking from experience here. They call to you. -sorry got metaphysical on you there.

I just cannot see Gra getting cracked out on LSD or heroine, urdrupes n shrooms and deciding to nail himself. I’m not sure he would even be able to come back from that low point and be lucid enough to complete ALL of the wonder he flipping did. I cannot see the skek who gave up -everything- for Goh, and their existence picking up a nail and driving it in. He was lucky the act did not kill him and Goh, one wrong tilt = sand nap for both. For that matter lambodomys usually have some wicked head gear during the practice, that’s sounds about like torture and something the skeks hell bent on exacting revenge for a betrayal would be allllll about. This books cliff note on the topic of him self mutalating himself and his urRu counterpart = Rejected.

I have a feeling I will be moving this ALLL over to my HC page.

That way anyone who wants to write with my Gra can enjoy the divergence 🔥 like always.

My take on a cute skekling that's supposed to look like a Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild rito avian style appearance. Inspired by the rito from breath of the wild. This skekling's name is SkekHolli I thought it would be cute to have a Holly jolly happy skekling that likes to fly.

I like to believe that skeksis and urru or urskeks form would have realistically evolved from bird-like reptiles or dragons and looked similar to cockatrice called Volacrosaurs or Dracoaves or vulturelizards. So I had this idea that skeksis had inherited their hollow bones and air sacs from their ancestors as vulturelizards that even the flightless skeksis can glide or fly only while using a glider or wing equipment that they attach to their arms while the skeksis with wings can just fly naturally and also skeksis lay eggs they are oviparous.

Other than that, I don't have much backstory about SkekHolli so I'll probably elaborate on him more in the future.
