the thing I love most in Arthur's Joker is his total absence of cruelty or malice. he was born from pain, injustice and dreams of kind and creative man, who was in love with old-fashioned comedy, music and dances. he's a chaotic thing, sometimes a violent thing, but that violence is always reactive. he's not truly evil.

and in the end of second movie – I don't think that Arthur rejected Joker, no. quite the opposite. he accepted him as a part of himself. not the mask, not the different personality, but just himself with his colorful costume and his clown make-up.

"I'm the same guy who killed Murray"

and I honestly love him as whole.
