Godzilla King of the Monsters has the same basic plot as How to Train Your Dragon 2

To be clear, I honestly like both movies, buuuutttt...

The bad people are trying to control the titans/dragons for bad stuff. Godzilla/Toothless loses to King Ghidorah/the Bewilderbeast. Someone important dies (Serizawa/Stoic). Godzilla/Toothless come back stronger than ever before. Godzilla/Toothless then b/eats Ghidorah/the Bewilderbeast. Everything is "happy" with Godzilla/Toothless as the new alpha.
