Senza Hotel

Like Hall St. Helena, this hotel is filled with beautiful modern art. It also offers daily complimentary continental country breakfast and evening wine and cheese reception featuring some of Napa’s best wineries. The wine and cheese reception was the perfect way to end my day, tasting Goosecross Cellars wine offerings (which was the featured winery for the evening) while taking in the the views at Senza Hotel was priceless.

Napa Valley Winery: Kenzo Estate

The estate is in a beautiful, remote mountain top and features wines not sold in the United States. It was definitely a treat to taste wine I wouldn’t taste anywhere else. With zero internet reception, it was also a welcome reminder to just relax and enjoy the views and the tour.

The wines are fantastic and it’s a shame there is so much demand in Japan that they don’t have the quantities to sell it in the U.S. I would buy a bottle of their wine every week if I could!

Napa Valley Winery: Round Pond Estate

This tour experience was laid back and relaxed - which fit the vibe of the winery perfectly. The tour culminated with a an intimate wine tasting paired with garden inspired appetizers in their terrace which offers panoramic views of the vineyards and the Mayacamas Mountains.

The appetizers are made from fresh ingredients in their gardens and uses olive oil from their olive mill. This winery is a perfect oasis and the tour is one not to miss. Next time, I can’t wait to do one of their Olive Mill tours to get an even better experience at the olive oil making process. It was so delicious!

The Meritage Hotel

Suites are warm with plush beds, cozy robes, featuring exclusive amenities like a wine bottle with your stay and a balcony to have breakfast while overlooking the vines from Trinitas Cellars. The view was gorgeous!

The hotel has two pools and a 1,650 square foot fitness studio which was definitely welcomed after a long day of wine touring. You can also play bocce ball next to the pool with your family which I definitely took advantage of (I lost but I had still had fun..that’s all that matters, right? Not #rematch) This resort has everything you need for a complete relaxing vacation.

Housed inside the hotel’s property is the Trinitas Cellars Tasting Room. The Chocolate & Wine Pairing is exceptional and is perfect way to end a day in Napa. Napa Valley Winery: Artesa Napa Valley

Artesa’s Pintxos and Wine program was by far a highlight of the trip. After taking in the breathtaking scenery, our host took us into a private tasting room where she paired five different Artesa wines with delectable Pintxos - small bites for us. Some of the combinations were adventurous - in the best possible way - and others completely complemented the wines and heighten the flavor.

Pairing wine with food is an art and at Artesa Napa Valley’s Pintxos & Wine tour you get to experience how delicious the perfect combination can be. I learned a lot from our pairing and am looking forward to using my new skills back at home!

Napa River Inn

BREAKFAST

On of my favorite parts of Napa River Inn was their breakfast. They have a complimentary breakfast in bed from Sweetie Pies bakery. It was a dream! There is nothing quite like waking up every morning to breakfast in bed. You feel like you are staying with family, it's priceless.

DINING

Napa River Inn also houses world-class dining at Angele and Celadon. We went to Angele for lunch and it was a treat. We had the Melon Salad, Apricots, House Made Ricotta Cheese, Pine Nuts and the Crispy Rabbit Stuffed Gnocchi, and Veal Bolognese. My personal favorite was the Veal Bolognese. It was packed with flavor and rich!

ENTERTAINMENT

For live entertainment make sure to visit Silo’s which is also housed on the hotel property. One of the only places in Napa for nighttime entertainment not to mention it’s the best place for live Blues, Jazz, Rock, Reggae, Smooth Jazz and Motown music from the area.

Napa Valley Winery: Opus One

The tour kicked off in the Salon where we tasted the Opus One’s only white wine offering. The wine was crisp and the perfect kick start to the tour! After a tour of the production facility, where we learn all about the wine-making process, we stopped by the barrel room (perfect opportunity for pictures!) and we ended the tour at the Grand Chai, a beautifully designed tasting room, with a taste of the current vintage of Opus One. After tasting their current vintage, you realize why the wine costs $200 a bottle - it’s delicious!

Napa Valley Hot Air Balloon Rides

This was an early morning experience (we had to arrive at 5am), which normally I would not be happy about, however, once we arrived I was captivated by the the hustle and bustle of preparing the balloons. Watching the hot-air balloon slowly inflate in front of me was mesmerizing. Once the balloon was ready, we hopped inside our basket and took off. The ride over Napa Valley was unforgettable and it was breathtaking floating above the vineyards and beautiful estate homes.

Imagine it. Picturesque views all around you. Colorful balloons in the distance. It was the perfect way to start the day. Words don’t do this justice so i’ll let the pictures do the talking! The whole experience lasts about 4 hours and is truly something you don’t want to miss!

Napa Valley Winery: Hall St. Helena

The critically acclaimed artisan wines from Hall Wines and WALT Wines are crisp and some of the most delicious wine we tasted in Napa. Throughout the tour we had the opportunity to taste four varieties of wines. A fresh white wine and 3 delicious deep reds. It’s no wonder their wines have won numerous accolades including now, two coveted 100-point "perfect scores." This winery should definitely be on everyone’s list.

After this tour, I just had to pre-order Craig and Kathryn Hall’s latest book A Perfect Score: The Art, Soul, and Business of a 21st-Century Winery to learn more about their love of Art and their wine philosophy.

Napa Valley Winery: Domaine Chandon

Our Chandon ambassador was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a brief history of the winery, took us on tour of the wine making process, and gave us a taste of Domaine Chandon’s current portfolio which included their limited edition wines.

This was definitely the most booze-filled fun tour from all the wineries I visited. There was not one moment of the tour where I was without a glass. Cheers to that! And if that wasn’t enough, once the tour was over, our host let us finish a couple of our favorite wines. I choose the Reserve Club Cuvée because it was exclusive to the club and tasted heavenly.
