According to this admittedly clickbait video, Gillette lost a bundle on that stupid Toxic Masculinity PSA.
I think it's worth pointing out that many women, IIRC, also said they would #BoycottGillette.
Personally, I use safety razors, but I avoid P&G brands there too (EG Astra).
I also remember people saying the men who got mad were the bad men who most needed the commercial.
Okay, but if the commercial didn't actually reach the target audience, and put them off, it's a bad commercial.
trying & failing to paint My Guy [wip]
@homericwinter let me drop this real quick…. they're retired & happy & very much alive 🥺🩷 (also my playlist just decided to punch me in the gut by playing Asaf Avidan's Reckoning Song (in a box III version UGH!) like yeah. one day baby we'll be old) (where's the gun emoji when you need it) (i'm gonna be ill)
I don't know why I thought it might be a good idea to make a shipping video for a pairing with 10min screen time in total when both characters have like 2 scenes together, and their interactions are limited to looking each other in the eye one (1) time.
But!!! Here it is! :D the Gillette/Norrington "Warum hast du nicht Nein gesagt" video that probably about 2 people will find as funny as I do XD
Bear with me but:
Could Andrew Gillette be of Huguenot ancestry?
Because while the last name Gillett (or variations thereof) certainly existed historically in England and on the British isles, Gillette is a much more French spelling.
Considering everything that was going on, it would thus not be entirely unlikely that his grandparents (and potentially parents) were refugees from France.
