When we watched the finale (when it originally sired), my husband said that Rachel should have stayed on the plane. (I wholeheartedly agree.) Just goes to show that I got a good one 😉

i actually don’t remember watching the finale live. i know i did, but i blacked out due to rage and woke up twelve hours later still sobbing because rachel got off the plane. it would have been nice to know who around me felt the same, but i guess i will never know for sure.

there has to be. the internet is a vast and beautiful place. maybe one of my followers can hook you up with a link? i’m personally not a fan of ted, but my hatred hasn’t centered down to a white hot, burning, life-consuming hobby like it has with ross, so i don’t know any offhand.

I completely agree with everything you say about Ross, he's garbage. I'm interested in why Phoebe is your fave?

oh sweet precious phoebe. i switch between all the friends (except for ross and rachel) being my favourite depending on the episode, but phebs is most consistently my fave. 

i just adore her outlook on life. she’s so positive and carefree. and then there’s smelly cat, she speaks french, apparently italian, and she once stabbed a cop (he stabbed her first!!). you know all the standard reasons to love a character.

in all seriousness though, i feel like her life is just so compelling! we get to deal with depression, estranged families, suicide, teen homelessness, and other really tragic issues through a lens that brings them to light without being too heavy. not that these aren’t extremely heavy issues, but i appreciate that it starts a dialogue, and more importantly shows a character who survived so much adversity and isn’t the stereotypical broken character at the end of it.

plus it doesn’t hurt that out of all the friends, she calls ross out on his shit the most. bless her.

ok. a) you’re so cute, thanks friend and b) welcome to the side of the enlightened!! i’m so glad this blog was able to achieve its goal. if i can help one (1) person see ross for what he really is, that’s a victory. i guess i can pack up now. jk, i will be here forever because my hatred for ross has consumed me. he really is the absolute worst. 

that being said, don’t let ross bring down your overall enjoyment of friends! he’s the worst thing ever, but the show and the other friends are pretty great!

WHO IS WORSE ross geller or ted mosby??? (i can't decide they're both pretty bad...drunk ross is funnier than drunk ted, but ted isn't quite as much of a *ross*.)

personally, i believe that ted mosby is a derivative of ross. ross was the ross of the 90s and ted the ross of the 2000s. characters like ted would never be allowed to exists, if we, as a society, had banded together and made it known that we despise everything about the original ross, ross. 

or, if ross derivates kept appearing in pop culture, it would be a more accurate portrayal, i.e. as the villain they truly are, instead of a nice guy who isn’t a sack of burning garbage who is terrible, but just a guy, trying to date a girl who doesn’t want to date them and the world is mean.

Rachel's life would have been a thousand times better if chandler never told her how Ross felt. That relationship brought out the worst in everyone.

tbh, yes. rachel and ross’ relationship was so toxic i still dry heave a little when i accidentally think about it. on their own they okay rachel would have been okay (ross is still garbage and probably would have still been shitty on his own). something about the two of them together was just the perfect recipe for disaster. rachel is pretty self-centered and spoiled and not the best communicator, ross is jealous and a totally shitty human being and they really did bring out the worst in each other.

if only they’d stayed on a break. rachel would have been so much happier.
