Exploding in the kiln on purpose for attention
Elisée Maclet (France 1881-1962) Le jardin de Montmartre (c. 1950) oil on canvas 45.7 x 55.1 cm
Falling in love and identifying birds have similar effects. Normal life is altered; every experience heightened; what was mundane begins to explode with meaning. You think birds are just birds—undifferentiated fluttering, then you find one magnified in your lens. You recognize its unique markings, lines, and color. Your heart pounds. It is a cerulean warbler. It is your new mate. I believe both things have equal power to change your life.

we really gotta stop calling anti abortion people "pro life" like even if ur aware how bullshit of a term that is ur still somewhat reinforcing the idea & validating them. say anti abortion or anti choice or, my personal favorite, cunt

Taking pictures of the pole is kind of a revolutionary act for me, it shows the very essence of how photography doesn’t capture reality, but it is an active creator of reality, It shows photography can elevate the most boring and uninteresting object as desirable, mystification. It makes the parallel with publicity, selling you fashions, perfume, gum. insignificant object ultra magnify. It also a play, a game for me, instead of taking the beautiful landscape behind the pole, I will choose the pole, making a double layer of creativity.
