Mu Panâs âBright Moon Shines on the Riverâ at Joshua Liner Gallery.
Opening tonight - June 7th, 2018 - at Joshua Liner Gallery in New York City is artist Mu Panâs sensational solo exhibition, âBright Moon Shines on the River.â
From the Gallery: ââBright Moon Shines on the Riverâ is a set of six brand new works, all inspired by one painting of a whale, the artist destroyed, 11 years ago. In its wake we see six different nautical battles between whales, dolphins, sharks, monkeys, and their human hybrid combinations. The mix of violence and humor creates work that is provocative and engaging as the artist borrows from iconography and techniques of Japanese culture. Each acrylic on panel is a seemingly boundless illustrative narrative.â
The exhibition will be on view until July 6th, 2018 and if I were in New York, Iâd absolutely stop by.
