Finding your passion isn’t just about careers and money. It’s about finding your authentic self - the one you’ve buried beneath other people’s needs.

“Sometimes skulls are thick. Sometimes hearts are vacant. Sometimes words don’t work.”
— James Frey (via purplebuddhaquotes)
A part of being an adult is living with regret and not allowing it to consume you. The older you get, the more mistakes you’ve made, opportunities you’ve missed, people you’ve disappointed. And every day you have to remind yourself to be kind and forgiving of yourself. You accept and love the you from the past and understand that it’s all a part of the process. Then you move on and live your best life, knowing now as old as you feel today, you’ll never be this young again.
I’m so embarrassed. I’m not a real person yet.
I want this one moment. It’s what I want in a relationship… which might explain why I am single now. Ha ha.

I’m a bit desperate and I need help!
Hi, I’m really embarrassed to ask for help but since I have no other choice I have to. I know there are many people out there who are probably in more desperate conditions but I’m hoping at least one person can help me! I’m going back to school on Aug 18 and I need to pay my bill by the 15th, and I only have $50 dollars in my bank account that I need to use for textbooks.
I already took out loans, (I’m in thousands of dollars in debt, yes ik im not special) but even then I still fall short. My family are in worse conditions than me so they can’t help me with a single dollar. (Plus I would hate to ask them for money when they dont have any, and I don’t want to worry them) my grandfather passed away last month, and my dad needed to pay for emergency bills/flight.
I already applied to a job/am still applying for more but even if I get hired I wont be getting paid until Sept. I’m not expecting to get 2k, but any help will be appreciated. Seriously, a dollar or two will make some difference! If you can’t help, please reblog so other people can see!!!
I don’t know what to do anymore, I’m basically on my own. I even thought of selling my phone/cancelling my plan but then I would have no way to contact my family once I leave. so i’m working on selling some of my stuff to get some money ahhhhhhh I’ve been panicking about this for the past few weeks, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me but you can donate anything at anytime

friendly reminder that losing weight won’t cure negative body image. your weight isn’t the problem, it never was and it never will be. your problems are more deeply rooted- and it’s up to you to investigate further and see what’s really causing you so much pain.

All right, Shizuku, go ahead and do what your heart tells you. But it’s never easy when you do things differently from everyone else. If things don’t go well, you’ll only have yourself to blame.

I advise you to stop sharing your dreams with people who try to hold you back, even if they’re your parents. Because, if you’re the kind of person who senses there’s something out there for you beyond whatever it is you’re expected to do - if you want to be EXTRA-ordinary - you will not get there by hanging around a bunch of people who tell you you’re not extraordinary. Instead, you will probably become as ordinary as they expect you to be.

There’s an opposite to déjà vu. They call it jamais vu. It’s when you meet the same people or visit places, again and again, but each time is the first. Everybody is always a stranger. Nothing is ever familiar.
