Hello January

It's the beginning of a new year. The beginning of a new month. I hope you've been well because we're just getting started on this journey of life. Last year may have taken a lot out of you, but don't let it bring you down. Things are changing for you and I. And I think you see it too. Some of it is for you, yourself. Some of it is for me, myself. And some of it is for us, together.

It's exciting though. And I'm excited for you, January. This could be a very good month. But it's up to us to make it happen. Are you ready? Because I am.

Share Your 2015

Never stop creating? Sounds good to me. It's January 1st and that means another spin on New Year's Resolutions! This year Jedd and I would like to present Share Your 2015.

How does it work? We each have 12 mason jars - one per month. Each day we plan on writing a note - sharing something we've thought, seen, experienced - and placing it in the jar.

What's so special about that? What's the significance of each month? Well, I'm not sure if Jedd will explain, but for me - I'll share that at the end of the year ;D

Create your 2014

When I think of the past year, a lot comes to mind and nothing at all at the same time. If I asked you, what did you create this past year, what would you say?

When I first sought to create my 2014, I wanted to do something to remind myself that I am in control of my life. It's sometimes a struggle, to remember. It's easy to say, "so and so doesn't want me to", "so and so wouldn't approve" or "I can't because so and so...". But in the end, we make the ultimate decision. We create the life we live.

"Because this year, I want to remind myself that life is what you make of it. No matter who pressures you, what limits you, where you are, you still have the choice to make the most of what you’ve been given and explore the ways to make something even greater from what you already have."

It's not all about creating material things or being creative. It's not all about the crafts or using your imagination. It's not all about doing something new or sharing something unheard of. Create tranquility. Create reflection. Create memories. Create connection.

I've had a chance to create. To create something for myself, for others, for the better.

2014 may be coming to an end, but we should never stop creating.

It's not always easy deciding how to move forward

I have an idea, a thought, a plan. But if I told most, they would be in the opposition. It's not that they don't quite understand. They do - to an extent. But something in me feels like my path is the path to take. How do I choose, knowing majority would point me in the other direction?

I never thought it would be so hard to water a plant

It's simple. You take a container, fill it with water and pour it into the flower pot. Yet a sinking feeling comes in the morning, as I prepare to walk out onto the patio alone. But how can I not go out and nourish it? It trusts me to give it life. It's not the plant's fault that we gave it life together. It's not the plant's fault that we decided to no longer live our lives together.
