People have definitely talked about this, Adam Aleksic for one, but have you heard about the slang terms for censorship in China? It's a pretty famous example of the "censorship treadmill", in which words are censored only for euphemisms to take their place. In China, the word censorship (审查 (I think)) began to get censored around 2004, with the Chinese Government justifying it by claiming they were working towards a harmonious society. And, ironically, this term, harmonious (和谐) ended up being a euphemism for censorship! When this started getting censored, the word river crab, a near homophone, began to be used instead (héxiè vs héxié). Furthermore, aquatic product is now sometimes used in its place. But this isn't a decision made to evade censorship on its own. It all started with irony, and jokes. It's ironic to use the term harmony to refer to censorship, as, in doing so, you are critising the censorship. You can see the damn near same thing with the eggplant emoji and then "dih". It isn't meant to evade censorship but it does, to a certain extent. I just think it's an interesting demonstration of how censorship is essentially impossible, and Aleksic notes this too. What do you think?

june is both Pride Month and the month of The Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ.
some people may see this as a contradiction, a sort of clashing of ideals. i cannot disagree more.
for what is the Sacred Heart if not a devotion to God as Love Incarnate? His love that is boundless, passionate, and flows eternally like the ocean waves.
and what is Pride Month if not a celebration of love? love that persists in the face of great adversity and turmoil. love that has, does, and will forever endure even as the whole world seeks to destroy it.
against all of the hate and wrath that much of humanity has for us, always remember that it is never hopeless. for if God is Love, and He is, then He is on our side. and what can these people do against us if God is on our side?
happy Pride Month, and happy Month of the Sacred Heart. God bless you all <3

Eagles in old high german:
I localized a Django Unchained poster into Gothic
Gothic is a dead Germanic language that was spoken in Eastern Europe in 3rd–10th centuries. I decided to localize a poster… because it's what I do from time to time.
