I wanna make hot chocolate cupcakes
But I have no icing sugar so will attempt to make a chocolate Swiss meringue topping instead lol
This was just me messing around with some shop brought icing and some techniques haha. They look a little messy but they were yummy!
Chocolate Chip Cookies! I used a recipe that was on Lorraine Kelly one morning haha!
Profiteroles! My mum said that Choux pastry was really hard to make but I found it so easy to do! :D. The chocolate on top was a combination of milk, fondant icing and chocolate just to make the chocolate a little thicker :).
Bailey's Cupcake. Bailey's flavoured cake with a chocolate Bailey's frosting.
I made these for a child's baptism at my parents church :).
This was my first paid job! My managers son is leaving for the army and she asked me to make her 50 army themed cupcakes for his party!
Cupcakes I made for National Cupcake Week. My usual sponge recipe and I used buttercream frosting (pink and yellow. Butter and Icing Sugar with a tiny bit of vanilla extract) and water icing (Icing sugar, water and some vanilla) but it went a bit too blue haha! :D
I haven't posted much but I have baked a lot this weekend so I will update tomorrow :)
It's also the start of national cupcake week so I'll try to post a different recipe for cupcakes each day :)
Rainbow Cakes!
This is a standard sponge mix (200grams of caster sugar, butter and self-raising flour, four eggs, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of milk). Then I used icing gels to colour the mix (seperate the mix into bowls and then add the colouring)
You can then decorate the cakes with royal icing or frosting :).
Chocolate Cupcakes with chocolate buttercream frosting.
Cakes(this makes at least 24 cakes): 200 grams caster sugar, butter and self rasing flour. 4 eggs 50-100grams of coco powder (it depends on how chocolatey you want them, you can add more or less) A tablespoon of baking powder A tablespoon of vanilla extract 2 tablespoons of milk
For the frosting use Butter, Coco powder and Icing sugar. I use about 100grams of butter and then you have to adjust the coco and icing sugar accordingly because you don't want it to be too sweet or too sloppy. you have to be careful because it can seperate. I'm still trying to find the best recipe for frosting because Im not that good at it haha.
These are my own adaption of some biscuits called the 3 step biscuits I learnt to make when I did some work experience in July (the three steps are 1 pound of sugar, 2 pounds of butter and 3 pounds of plain flour) only I used 200g of each (because I work with grams) and added some vanilla extract and some chocolate chips. They go nice with a cup of tea or a glass of milk :)
