guys i hate to admit it but crisp cricket is undeniably fun in person

#like sure maybe it’s not great on the telly #and i don’t watch it reigiousky on the telly #religiously*#like the graphics are silly and the cricket is silly #but it IS a fun day out in a way the blast/odc/international test matches are not #slash have not been for me in the past to be more precise #tho acc i’ve never done a full day at the cricket #but like i have been to the hundred exclusively w ppl who do not normally watch cricket for a natter and a catch up and just vibes #and it’s been so good #like it’s unserious cricket with loads of kids screaming their heads off for twenty/25 quid #it’s v diff watching on the telly to being their in person #headingley today was great #so many kids #plus sth to be said for the fact like no one (that we came across) was bladdered beyond belief #which was the case at the blast match we went to #also at headingley #this is my first like for like comparison #like def a diff atmosphere #def more kids essentially lol #but that’s not nec a terrible thing it is simply different #and like idk if they could have reverse engineered the blast to be so kid friendly less pints w ur mates vibe like idrk #irdk*#but idk i feel like there’s sm anti hundred stuff i should probs put out one (1) appreciation post for the good vibes #and ngl the food at headingley way better than the oval #im obsessed w the jacket potato i had i love them sm #cricket stuff #crisp cricket

hi hi! it’s always been where joy forever dwells - it’s the follow up line to my main blog farewell happy fields which upon a quick google is paradise lost of all things but also just sort of one of those snippets of things we always said as a family, probably from growing up in the countryside!

i think i vaguely remember when i made my original/main blog wanting to go for something i wouldnt forget, and then when i made the side blog it .˙. made sense to do the second half !! suppose i should be grateful i didn’t end up with blogs like ‘the common cormorant or shag’ and ‘lays its eggs in a paper bag’, or ‘will you walk a little faster’ and ‘said a whiting to a snail’! xx
