thinking about the way the killer in Furious (catherine) doesn’t immediately kill her targets. she takes her time with them. she drugs them, renders them helpless, crawling around, desperate to find ways to save themselves but she has all the power and they have none, so all their attempts are futile. but that’s exactly what they put her through. she was just as helpless, desperate for help, not able to stand on her own two feet either. all her efforts to save herself were futile too because back then they had all the power and she had none. another thing is, while she does all that to her targets, she continues to act like everything is normal, doing normal every day things like going to hand out candy on halloween or making a meal or even making friends with the daughter of one of the targets, etc basically acting as though what the targets are going through isnt harrowing. which is also exactly what they were doing while harming her too. they too went on with their normal every day lives as though what she was experiencing, what they put her through, wasn’t harrowing. in fact what they did to her was worse because they actively inflicted way more pain and trauma than she ever does to them. and then she kills them. just like they killed her too. they may not have physically killed her but they killed her childhood, they killed the girl she was in love with, they killed her hopes and dreams, they killed her light. ugh the show is so well done please go watch it

“I hate you,” she cried in a choked voice, stamping her foot on the floor. “I hate you - I hate you - I hate you” a louder stamp with each assertion of hatred. “How dare you call me skinny and ugly? How dare you say I’m freckled and redheaded? You’re a rude, unfeeling woman!”

“Anne!” exclaimed Marilla in consternation.
