Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPcarcorners
Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post announcing the weekend’s project every Friday.
This weekend’s tag takes its inspiration from the #carcorners series by Melbourne mechanical engineer Ben James (@bajerdesign), who began photographing cars in unusual ways to capture their design through unique details.
As he explains, “Although there is nothing new about the angle, the hashtag was a great way to give this type of car picture its own identity. I love the challenge of capturing the design signature of a car with only the tip of a corner. It is amazing how distinctive they are: there is usually enough detail to name the make and model!”
With that in mind, the goal this weekend is to take creative automobile photos of your own. Some tips to get you started:
When you’re looking for cars to photograph, seek them out as you would interesting people to photograph on the street. Search for ones that stand out and look like they might have a story to them.
As Ben suggests, try to get a high angle as you compose your photo. This will let you capture more details like the shape of the hood, design of the headlights or even a hood ornament in your shot.
Finally, keep an eye out for unexpected details. Reflections in the chrome, shadows, decals or even dew can provide an interesting twist to your shot.
PROJECT RULES: Please only add the #WHPcarcorners hashtag to photos taken over this weekend and only submit your own photographs to the project. Any tagged image taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured Monday morning.

Fathers of Technology and Innovation
Clarence “Skip” Ellis was the first African-American to earn a PhD in Computer Science. He helped develop the concept of clicking icons which lead to the development of user friendly operating systems such as Windows or Mac.
David Hedgley created a mathmatical algorithim that would tell computers which lines to display and which lines to make invisible, thus creating 3-D graphics.
James E. West holds 47 U.S. and more than 200 foreign patents. He is best known for co-inventing the electroacoustic transducer, an electret microphone that revolutionized microphones and is used in 90% of microphones today (including in telephones, tape recorders, and other devices).
Mark Dean developed a number of landmark technologies for IBM, including the color PC monitor and the first gigahertz chip. He holds three of the company’s original nine patents with more than 20 patents associated with his name. He also co-invented the Industry Standard Architecture system bus allowing for computer plug-ins such as disk drives, modems, and printers.
Marc Hannah co-founded SGI (Silicon Graphics, Inc.) and was named its principal scientist for inventing computer graphic programs like Personal IRIS, Indigo, Indigo2, and Indy graphics, which were used to create effects for commercials, television shows, films (like Jurassic Park and Terminator 2). engineering, research, and for military applications. Hannah is also the chief technology officer for SongPro, a technology company specializing in making multimedia plug-ins used for listening to music on hand-held video game players and MP3 players.

If you heard about misery, you know it's true for most of our emotions. They never want to be alone. So, chose "joy" and bring some company along for the ride.
Yo, I've been stalking this crib. It was just completed, #Uptown #PigeonTown #BlackPearl near Leake Ave. and the levee. This is my optimal neighborhood for a starter home. #Isnappicstoobruh (at Breads on Oak)

The receptors of the heart...
Our hearts are precious. They hold our love, our hurts, our joys, our successes, our peace, our disappointments, and so on, and so on... But our hearts are never to blame or reward for these occurrences. In fact, think of this...What if we did not have the function of some receptors, eyes, ears, touch, and smell? We could either avoid or lack some issues of life. Our hearts are sponges and are willing recipients.
I don't want to lose you in this conversation; so, stick with me.
A very wise man suggests "above all, protect your heart. For out of your heart flows the issues of life." There are some things we should open our hearts to. Then, there are some things we should not let anywhere close to our hearts. In order to understand this, we should always think with the end goal in mind. What do you want to experience from THIS relationship? If I take this class, what do I want to accomplish? If I buy this, what will happen? _______________________ (Insert the question here you've pondered.)
I've been guilty of allowing bad interactions close to my most important organ, my heart. Our hearts are physical, spiritual and mental. They encompass all three parts. Think about the implications of when we do not take care of our bodies. We could harm our most vital organ by eating foods that our contrary to our longevity, not working out, indulging a lil bit too much, etc. The same is true for the spiritual and mental aspects of our hearts. We have to pay attention to things that are fighting for the attention of our hearts. The way to do that is to guard the receptors of the heart...Yep, the eyes, the smell, the touch, the taste...These receptors are also the deceptors of the heart. Yes, the very receptors which open us to a wide, vast spectrum of choices can also deceive us. They will lead us to believe stuff like, "man, she a beast..." Until, you discover she has an endorsement from Duncan Hines(cake frosting) by MAC. Or "he said we're going to be together as soon as he leaves his girl." _________________________________ (Insert the scenario you thought of) Because I know you thought of at least one thing you have opened your heart to that could have been avoided.
I have been been on the deceptive side of harming a heart. Likewise, I've been the recipient of touching something that later affected my heart. Our hearts are equally open to deception and love. One will benefit us in the long run.
Friends, above all protect your hearts...
