“My afternoon’s open,” Sirius said with a shrug. “I thought you might need the help.” He looked over at her. “If you’d rather I go…” He and Tonks had never grown to be terribly close. He didn’t think there was any animosity between them, but then in his eyes, she had won.
“I can take him out if you like. To a park or something. Pick up anything you need out.”
The thought of Teddy being out of her sights scared her, she feared losing him too. “I haven’t left since...it happened.” Her eyes tearing up as the images of Remus laying there motionless as she was being held back by Sirius flashed through her mind.
Tonks looked over to Sirius, hair falling flat in her face. “I’m sorry cousin..I-I..” Her words caught in her throat, panic overwhelming her. Trying hard not to let it out in front of her son.

Sirius grinned at the boy as he bounced him on his hip, “You look so much like your papa,” He placed his finger on his nose earning another laugh from the baby. “I’m sure things have been very hard,” He nodded. “Coming to see the pair of you was all that got me out of bed today,” He offered sympathetically.
“Why don’t you go do whatever you need to do,” He offered. “Without a baby attached at your hip for the moment.” He rubbed Teddy’s back. “I’ll keep him occupied.”
“I’m sure Harry would have loved to see you...“
Tonks was jealous of the smiles on both of their faces, a little annoyed Sirius wasn’t showing his pain like she was. Pathetic as it was. She walked into the kitchen and starting cleaning dishes. “Will you stay long?”
Sirius held up a small plush dragon, “I, uh, came to see Teddy. I figured I hadn’t spoiled him in a while,” He paused. “And no one’s seen much of you since…everything,” He couldn’t bring himself to say it. He held the dragon out to Teddy who seemed content enough to accept Sirius as a friend. He reached out for it and Sirius smiled.
“He’s gotten big,” He offered. “I don’t think I realized just how long it had been until I saw him,” He held his arms out, “May I?” He didn’t actually know if Tonks would let him hold Teddy. Things had never been that simple or comfortable between them, mostly because of Remus.
Tonks avoided his gaze, her body tense as he spoke. “Of course.” Sighing as she looked down at Teddy accepting the gift and Sirius with ease.
She figured she looked a wreck, her hair void of any of its beautiful colors only a pale blonde in their place. Her throat tightened as she forced a smile, handing Teddy to Sirius. “I’ve been...busy I suppose.”
