Prosecutor Gavin left Chief Prosecutor’s office in an actually decent mood. He didn’t have any more pressing matters at hand and, while he had some work to do, he didn’t see it as very urgent. So, he allowed himself to walk back to his office without much hurry, humming some tune to himself.
However, even that was put to a stop when noticed a person in the hall. He would’ve said that she looked out of place, but for that he’d have to say that people in the Prosecutor’s Office have some sort of dresscode. Maybe there was, but nobody followed it. What was special about this person was that he felt like he had seen her for somewhere.
“Excuse me, have we met before?” He called out with the friendliest smile and tone, trying his best to remember where he could’ve seen her face.
Elliot glances in the direction of the voice. She can’t help the expression of surprise that crosses her face-- Gavin. That Gavin? As in Klavier Gavin? The musician? He was a prosecutor???
She spends a solid several seconds staring, a little taken aback and trying to puzzle out that math in her head-- he barely looked old enough to have graduated law school, let alone be someone who worked high enough in criminal prosecution that Melanie would be needing documents from him.
“Gavin.” The way she says the name is not a question-- it doesn’t need to be, she’s worked in music long enough to recognize him even through osmosis. “Probably not. I’m here to collect the files for the audit.”
She most definitely did not look like she was there to collect files for an audit. A little more self-awareness might have led her to at least change her shirt before she came the prosecutors office, but she really hadn’t been expecting to have to introduce herself to someone new. As it was now, though, she’s wearing a bralette with straps forming a pentagram across her chest, dark, smudged makeup, and a pair of towering heels, looking every bit like she walked off the set of whatever new vampire flick they were filming.
