(Hollow practically sprints through the rescue to get to Wicked, panting with the effort as his heart pounds)
Kid?? Are you okay??
@hollow-point-killjoy
(It’s huddled into a corner, staring at a spot in the centre of the room where zey see Polkadots, mirage like but definitely there. Polkadots seems faded, and she’s mouthing incoherently. Wicked’s terrified, believing the ghost is going to attack- zey’re pale and struggling to breathe properly)
(He stares at the ghost as he moves over to where Wicked is hiding, taking its hand and holding it gently)
It’s okay… she- she won’t hurt you.
(It grabs his hand and squeezes, eyes wide in terror)
<is her?>
(Dots flickers, becoming barely audible. Her eyes are clouded over)
Hollow… you need to protect… danger…
I… I don’t know…
(He lets go off Wicked, approaching her ghost slowly)
What are you saying?
Danger… coming… here… protect it…
(Wicked watches as it presses itself as much as possible into the wall, wishing it was brave enough to find Vodka. It’s worried for Hollow)
Who? Who’s coming?
(He has to lean heavily on his cane, legs starting to shake as he struggles to remain upright)
Tell me, please.
Old… medic… was here before… they hurt your friend…
(Her form flickers in and out, almost fading entirely. Wicked stares at her, just about able to hear what’s being said now)
I will keep my eyes open, I promise.
(He looks to Wicked, beginning to feel light headed)
Dotty… I won’t let it get hurt.
(She fades out of view then, and Wicked slumps against the wall)
(He manages to get to zem, slumping beside them and tapping its shoulder)
Are you okay?
Mmm… she.. she didn’t look… she looked wrong.
(Wicked climbs into his lap, hugging him for comfort. It feels so scared still)
I know… I’m sorry you saw that.
(He hugs it close, warm and firm)
You’re going to be okay… I think it’s a good idea that we get out of here though. I can’t have you in danger here if that person is coming back…
(It thinks about it, before tilting its head up at him)
What about my siblings? Vodka will worry… can I say goodbye?
Of course you can. Meet me by the van, okay?
(He lets them go, barely managing to stand)
I’ll be in the drivers seat.
(They nod, before slowly toddling out of the room to find Vodka as he heads to the van)
@atomicvodkakilljoy
(He’s in bed again, pale but resting)
Hey Wicked… you shiny?
Mhm…
(It comes over and quickly hugs him, before stepping away)
Came to say goodbye. Hollow ‘nd me are going for a bit.
Okay… don’t go running into trouble or anything.
(He smiles weakly, off putting with the scar. He sinks down into the bed like he’s falling asleep)
(It nods, toddling off. It heads outside)
(Hollow’s sat in the drivers seat, watching for Wicked. He feels a little shaky, but he’s taken his meds now so it should clear up)
(It scrambles up into the passenger seat, staring a little)
Are you… okay?
Yea… just wasn’t expecting to see her like that. And I was concerned you were in danger.
(He sighs, the faint knocking there again)
I’m not in danger. I’m with you, you protect me.
(It manages to strap in, wanting to fidget with the radio to find something to listen to)
I’ll always do my best to protect you, kid. I promise.
(He starts the van, slowly driving away- much more careful with the kid in tow now)
I know.
(Zey believe him, and it’s clear in its tone. It fiddles with the switches until the cd player turns on and starts playing something from the 80’s)
What’s this? … it sounds nice.
Ah, that would be Twisted Sister. Very good stuff…
(He sighs, knowing Dots loved this one. He keeps going slowly, humming along)
Awesome…
(It doesn’t say much else, just enjoying the music and swaying to it a little)
(He starts to slow more once they reach the range, happy to see it again)
Oh- Cyanide will be here later on. He lives in the basement now, so you can hang out with it!
Really? What happened… to…
(It struggles to remember the name of the tall lady)
What was xeir name?
Nova’s dust. Don’t mention xem around Cyan, shiny?
(He says it gently, avoiding explaining any of it)
Okay… xey were weird. I didn’t like her much, but I just never said it.
(It shrugs, stretching a little)
Is my sleeping bag out back still?
That was a good call.
(He nods)
It should be. Shall we go have a look?
Yea… let’s go.
(It unstraps, pushing open the door)
(He gets out, helping Wicked down and getting the range door unlocked)
I wonder what it’s done downstairs… I’ll have to get it to help me down there at some point.
(It nods, looking around a bit. It points to a recent looking spot of blood on the floor)
Where did that come from?
Ah… I don’t know. I’ll ask Cyanide later, alright?
(He frowns somewhat, walking into the backroom and nodding at the new chairs and beanbags. He’s glad it seems tidier and more organised than he left it, at least)
It kept the place quite tidy, I’m glad of that. And you can sleep on a beanbag, they’re fun.
Okay… we can clean it?
(It launches into one of the beanbags, writhing around in it)
This is fun! Comfy too!
I’ll clean it later, don’t you fret.
(He smiles widely, happy to see it enjoy itself a little)
That’s good- I’d never get up again if I sat in that thing.
Okay!
(It frowns a little at that)
Is that because you’re old? I heard your friend call you old…
(He tilts his head with a bemused grin)
Eavesdropping? Terrible… but it might have something to do with my age, yes. Moreso my achy legs…
(It smiles a little at that)
Maybe… what’s wrong with your legs? They look normal.
I’m glad they don’t look weird, but one of them got hurt a bit ago. It didn’t get better the right way, so it hurts sometimes. It makes it difficult to stay standing sometimes as well…
(Accidentally proving his point, he finds a spinny chair and sits down, tired)
Oh. Can’t you do something to fix it? You’re a medic, you know everything about making things better… or is it like my shee-shures?
(It asks curiously, sounding almost sad for him)
Sei-zures… it’s too complicated for me to fix it all by myself. And trying to fix it would mean I can’t do anything for more than a month, no moving from bed at all. Imagine how boring that would be!
Oh… but…
(It thinks hard, frowning)
Wouldn’t not hurting be better?
I suppose so, but I don’t think I have time to rest. I like to move, and it doesn’t always hurt that badly…
(He tries to make light of it, not wanting to be knocked out again)
Oh… okay!
(It buys it completely, trusting him)
Can I have a soda? I’m thirsty…
Of course- I could do with one too…
(The knocking seems to get louder, and he briefly puts a hand to his head as he pushes the chair to the fridge. He gets out a purple soda for Wicked and a pink one for himself, handing it to it carefully)
(It shivers a little, taking the soda)
Can you hear that too?
(It sounds confused and anxious, not liking the knocking)
Yea… I think…
(He pushes the chair to the door, face paling as he sees a silhouette in the reception)
Oh, for hell’s sakes.
(Wicked puts the soda down, before slowly peeping round the door)
Why’s she here? Lex and Vod got rid of her already!
I don’t know… but she’s not the one who knocks.
(He sees two ghosts, one faded and less formed than the other)
Stay in the backroom, okay? It’s ghost proof. Safe.
(It stares at the two ghosts, a little too scared to move)
… mom’s there too…? She won’t hurt mom Dot, will she?
No. Ghosts can’t hurt each other.
(He sounds confident about that, even though he doesn’t know for sure. He continues watching the ghosts, afraid)
Wicked, go back to your soda. Please.
Good…
(It shakes its head)
Where are you going?
Nowhere. I’ll stay here.
(He realises it might not let him go out there alone, and decides he can just deal with it later. He slowly pushes the chair back into the backroom, frowning)
Okay…
(It frowns back, going and opening zeir soda)
This is weird. Why is all this happening?
I don’t know. I wish I did…
(He opens his soda and drinks slowly)
I will keep us safe. They can’t come in here. She won’t hurt you.
(He attempts to sound reassuring, trying to understand why any of this is happening)
I know.
(It keeps drinking its soda, starting to feel tired)
We can radio Teeks later, see if they’ll come hang out for a little bit. The ghosts will fade eventually…
(He sighs, finishing his soda and putting the can to one side)
Radio if the ghosts go away. They might get scared, I don’t want that.
(It finally finishes the soda, getting up and finding a purple blanket that it wraps itself in)
As soon as it’s safe I will.
(He smiles a little)
Are you going to sleep?
Mmmhm… tired.
(It yawns)
Ghosts are tiring. You should nap too.
I’m going to nap, in this chair.
(He stretches, tilting back in the chair to make it look like he’s napping)
(It nods, satisfied. It’s not long before Wicked’s asleep, and the ghosts outside try to get nearer to the backroom. Dots almost tries to block the other one, but she’s too weak)
(Hollow unlocks the office and gets out his salt sprayer, slowly approaching the ghosts)
Step. Away. Leave.
(Dots steps back a little, fading further out of view. The other ghost becomes defined enough to be recognisable)
Why would I do that? I miss you…
Go back to being dead!
(He sprays the salt towards her, mentally making a note that it must be close to Hallow’s Eve for this to be possible)
(She gets blasted back, her form dissipating entirely as the flames reclaim her)
(Hollow practically sprints through the rescue to get to Wicked, panting with the effort as his heart pounds)
Kid?? Are you okay??

Why would I do that? I miss you…
(He slides out of the truck, nearly falling over once he puts weight on his legs. He stretches before starting to stumble around, trying to find Hollow)
@k0bra-k1d
(He’s sat on the step of the campervan, stab wounds visible through his shirt, which still has dried blood stains on it that he hasn’t tried to wash out yet. He hears someone moving around and goes for his gun, even though he knows he’d miss, and holds it up)
Who’s there?
(He follows Hollow's voice, walking to him without a word until he's almost able to sit directly beside him)
Are you okay?
(He puts the gun down when he realises it’s Kobra. He makes a few attempts at speaking that fail before actually managing to, face as empty as he feels)
… apparently my ex died.
Oh.
(He leans against the campervan, trying to avoid falling over and embarrassing himself)
… Sorry.
I wouldn’t be. She’s… the worst.
(He gestures to the stab wounds, trying to ignore that her being dead makes him sad)
She helped with these too. Is Vodka feeling okay?
Oh.
(He makes a face)
He said he wanted to rest I think. He's safe.. I know he felt really bad.
(He absentmindedly rubs his back, it still hurting a bit)
I could see that on his face… at least he’s safe.
(He frowns briefly at the memory)
Are you shiny?
Mhm. I have a question though. A hypo-thetical one.
(He shifts, a little anxious)
If someone got hit in the back hard and lost feeling in their legs would it could back?
I’m good at hypothetical questions.
(He squints with his one eye for a minute, not struggling to jump to the conclusion that this isn’t hypothetical and sighing when he does so)
I’m afraid the answer would be no. Injuries like that are irreversible, but the pain in the back can be managed.
(He frowns, looking down at the sand)
And what about walking without almost falling? Hypothetically.
That hypothetical needs a little more context for me to answer it correctly. In this hypothetical, why are they almost falling? Is it that they’ve no sense of balance, or something else?
Balance. Like.. stumbling and stuff.
If this is the same person as the previous hypothetical, it could be that the back injury means the nerves that are in the lower body aren’t working. They can’t send the right signals to the brain to register bumps and dips in the ground, or how tired the legs are.
(He frowns)
That’s a lot of words, do any of them make sense?
Mm.. I think so. Is there any way to make it easier? Walking. …… hypothetically.
I’m not sure there is. Looking down a lot and putting your hands out to try and keep your balance- hypothetically.
(He raises an eyebrow softly)
Are we going to keep pretending?
(His face falls, and he slowly sits down and curls up)
No... I hate stumbling, and falling. I should be used to it now.. but I'm not.
(He offers an arm to hug, wanting to be of some comfort)
I imagine it’s quite an adjustment. That sort of thing isn’t something you just get used to… I’m still not used to this one eye nonsense.
(He hesitates, glancing at Hollow before leaning in to hug)
I wish it was... so there's nothing I can do about it?
(He hugs him gently)
If I knew of something I’d tell you, I promise.
(He wilts, putting his head in his hands. He doesn't say anything, but it's obvious that wasn't the news he wanted to hear)
(He does his best not to visibly be upset that he can’t help, squeezing lightly in the hug)
I won’t pry into how you got injured, I know talking about those things is difficult… if you ever need someone to talk to about it though, I’m here.
… thank you. Don't tell anyone though.. please? I don't want Whiskey to know.. if she doesn't already know. I don't want to get hurt worse.
(He sighs, brushing his hair back. He doesn't want Lex to see him upset when xey get here)
I’m not telling anyone. I hope she doesn’t know, but I’d assume nothing with her though.
(He doesn’t manage to keep the frustration out of his voice entirely)
I guess there's a chance she does... Vodka knows.. he wouldn't tell her. I know he wouldn't.
Maybe I'll find something to help eventually....
He’s very loyal, he’s even kept a few secrets for me…
(He nods)
Maybe you will, but it might take a long time.
(He frowns)
I hope it doesn't..... um. Lex is supposed to meet me here.. xey must be going really slow.
I know.
(He pulls a face)
A friend of theirs loaned them a bike… xey are being cautious with it. Maybe overly cautious.
(Lex can be seen in the distance, slowly approaching)
Oh. That makes sense.. I would too. I still need to fix mine.
(He moves out of the hug a little, sitting more upright)
If we take the truck I'm making xem drive.
I think they’ll be okay with driving the truck…
(He looks out to the distance, watching as Lex gets closer, waiting til they’re close enough to see properly)
There they are.
@lexi-conthekilljoy
(Xey get off the bike a few feet away, and walk up to them both, waving at Hollow and then staring a little at Kobra)
Hey… is- is my… is he okay? He hasn’t… he…
(Xey clear their throat)
Are you okay?
@k0bra-k1d
Vodka's safe. And I'm okay... do you want to drive the truck?
That’s good.
(Xey nod, not wanting to ride the bike again. It rides well, but xey don’t like the feeling that it could explode at any time)
I can do that. Windows are nice… doors are great… all good.
Okay.
(He glances at Hollow)
Thank you. I'll come back later.
(Lex starts to walk to the truck)
(Hollow nods)
Stay as safe as you can. You’re always welcome here.
I will. Thank you.
(He waves as he follows Lex to the track, trying his best to walk as steady as possible—still wobbling a bit)
(Lex waits by the truck for him, leaning on it and watching Hollow retreat into his campervan)
Sorry I took so long to get here…
It's okay. I didn't mind waiting. Do you what zone to look in?
(Xey nod)
Four, so we’re already in the right place to start with. I think we just look everywhere.
Sounds like a good idea. You think it's safe?
Oh absolutely not, but I’m not giving up until it’s done. Ready to go?
(Xey climb into the truck as they speak, in an attempt to hide their face. They don’t care what it costs xem to do this, so long as it works)
(There's a brief moment of debate before he climbs into the passenger seat, willing to take the risk. As long as he doesn't die, he doesn't care)
I'm ready.
Good.
(Xey start up the truck and begin to drive off at a more normal speed)
… I’ll try not to let you get hurt. If she does anything or possesses you, I will defend myself but I promise I will try not to hurt you.
If I get possessed, you have my permission to knock me out. Getting hurt is probably the least of my worries. I just want to get this over with.
Same goes for if I get possessed. Which she hasn’t done- yet. Let’s get this over with.
(Xey keep driving, keeping their eyes peeled)
We’re looking for a tent by a small cactus. I don’t know where the body is in relation to it but I imagine it’s outside it.
(He keep an eye out, looking all around)
Okay. Tent by a small cactus. Hmm.. I hope the body is close so we don't have to keep looking all over the place. Hopefully this'll be easy.
I just hope that he actually believes it when we’re done. I don’t want him to be scared anymore…
(Xey keep looking, almost swerving a little to avoid a rock)
Me neither.. he's been pretty upset.
(He keeps looking around)
I think he'll believe both of us.
I wasn’t sure he’d make it back.
(Xey say it in a way that implies xey really thought he wouldn’t survive trying to go back)
I hope he does.
… why?
(He suddenly pats Lex on the shoulder, pointing at a tent in the distance)
Is that it?
I… it was the look on his face… I could practically smell the guilt he was feeling…
(Xey look at it and shrug, driving towards it as xey feel a ghostly shiver run down their spine)
Let’s get closer and find out… although I think it might be.
He was pretty upset.. but I think it'll be okay. It'll be safer for all of us once we get rid of Whiskey.
(He narrows his eyes at the tent)
I hope it is.
I agree.
(As the tent gets closer, the outline of a body becomes visible by the front of it. If one were to get close enough, they’d see that what killed her was a deep slice to the throat or possibly the small but deep cut in her chest, and there’s an empty needle next to her)
I- I don’t think she’ll make this easy.
I don't care if it's easy or not. Like I said, if I get possessed, you have full permission to fight back and knock me out. If you get possessed, I'll figure something out. She doesn't have any sedatives I don't think..
She’s dead. She has nothing but par- parlour tricks, or something like that.
(Xey grip the wheel a little tighter as they drive up closer, taking in the sight of the body when they stop quite close)
That… doesn’t look like a fair fight. She got her come uppance and we’re going to finish that.
Mhm. Do you have stuff to start a fire? If we're quick it should be safer.. maybe.
(Xey pull a small tub of accelerant out of their small bag)
This should work… I’ve a lighter too.
(Xey get out, fully aware of the ghostly figure watching out of the corner of xeir eye. They turn their head away from the body and see the stalking figure)
Company. Wonderful.
Yay.
(His voice is flat. He doesn't look where Lex is looking)
I can spread the stuff around and you can light it up, or we can do it the opposite way if you want.
Take the stuff. I want to light it.
(Xey watch the figure fade with a frown, tensing up when an all too familiar giggle echoes through the air. They slide the accelerant to Kobra, staying tense)
(He frowns, grabbing the accelerant and hopping out of the truck to spread it around the body. He has to hold back a gag at the wounds, dumping the stuff)
(Xey watch, aware of her trying to make xem move towards him but stubbornly not moving)
(She hisses at xem, before giggling in Kobra’s ear and trying to make him move away from her body)
(His movements become a little discombobulated, like he's almost unsure whether he wants to move away or it's her trying to make him move)
Stop?
Is it all covered? You can stop then.
(Xey cock their head to the side, hands baling up just in case)
(She makes an attempt at getting Kobra to drop the tub of accelerant on his foot)
(He nods, taking a step away. The tub slips out of his hand, though it misses hitting him. He makes a quiet sound, agitated)
Stop.
(Xey move towards him, hanging back a little but not quite out of range of a punch)
Step back- this bit’s going to be even more fun.
(She tries to get Kobra to punch xem)
(He twitches, fighting as much as he can against Whiskey as he takes another step away. His bandaged hand hits his hip as he struggles)
Mm.. mhm. I'm sorry.
(He swings, though it's definitely a weaker swing than he would usually do)
(Xey grab his fist, stopping the swing and then letting go)
It’s fine. Just step back, you can do it.
He can do that… you may not be so lucky.
(Xeir eyes narrow a little. Whiskey starts trying to make xem punch, but xey resist and kneel down, fumbling for the lighter)
(He takes a shaky step away from Lex and the body, yanking at his hair briefly. He doesn't like how easy it is for her to get in his head)
(Xey shake as they manage to find their lighter, struggling against her trying to make xem stop)
Do you want to know what I did while you weren’t there? I nearly killed that Glitter friend, and I stabbed Kobra. You should’ve been there.
Shut… shush.
(Xey struggle, dropping the lighter and trying to pick it back up. They are fighting hard against her, but it’s not a fight xey can keep up forever)
(He reaches out for the lighter, trying to get it before Lex can punch him)
I'll get it.
(Lex almost punches him, but misses)
Thanks… aaagh…
(She hisses, almost screeching at them both)
(He flicks the lighter, watching the flame for a moment before leaning down to light the accelerant, maybe getting a little to close as he holds the flame to it)
Bye bye.
(Her ghostly form appears and screeches loudly, before disappearing as flames lick up)
(Lex tries to pull Kobra back a little, afraid of the fire)
(Xey arrive at the shack, immediately walking over to the car and double checking the people in it are still breathing. Satisfied, xey slip into the shack and try to fall asleep on xeir bed, too scared to face talking to Vodka right now)
He’s perfectly fine… for now.
Of course… of course.
What’s that supposed to mean?
I think you know what it means, Whiskey. Now shut it, I’m trying to sleep.
(She becomes a silhouette next to xem)
What exactly are you going to do to stop me? Last I checked, you can’t kill a ghost.
I can ignore the ghost. I can burn the ghosts corpse again. I’m sure I could find wherever you dusted… it can’t be that difficult.
(Xey sound more confident than they realise)
Oh, I’d love to see you try. Maybe you could even get murdered along the way, seeing as though you think you’re untouchable.
(She floats through them, and then tries to make them sit back up)
(Xey squirm, before giving in and sitting up)
I’m not untouchable, and neither are you. I’ll burn you again, just you wait!
I’m pretty untouchable right now…
(She tries to make them stand up, so she can throw them full force into something)
(Xey ball their hands up into the blanket on the bed, refusing to move)
Not forever. I’ll stop you.
Go ahead and try, I’ll make sure he knows just how much it hurts you when you fail…
Mhm.
(Xey stretch out, before lying down again and putting xeir pillow over their face)
Sleeping. Go. Away.
(She giggles at them)
Why would I do that? I’m waiting for you to try and stop me. Unless you want me to go and mess with Vodka?
No. No I don’t.
(Xey frown, but eventually sit up again)
You think I’m going to try and stop you while being in bed? I’m not that stupid.
Then where are you planning on going?
(She drags xem to their feet)
Not a clue, but somewhere.
(Xey groan quietly)
Hmm… I could just go and ask around until someone tells me something. That’s not the worst idea I’ve ever had.
(Xey grab the little notepad from Vodka’s bed and write “gone to find thing to burn. i forgive you. be back, stay safe. Lex :)” in big letters, before starting to walk out)
It’s definitely not the worst. I’ve seen some of your worst ideas… have you noticed that your nose is a little crooked? He hit you well.
I noticed.
(Xey sneak out of the shack, avoiding the car and driving off on Glitter’s bike)
(She huffs at xem)
Was sneaking out really necessary? Or are you scared of him?
Not scared of him.
(Xey drive for a while, before stopping to rest. Xey really need to sleep)
I have to think about this… who do I ask?
Liar.
(She hisses at xem)
Certainly not a question I’ll answer.
Okay, good for you.
(Xey hiss as she makes xem slide off the bike, getting straight back on and driving again)
I guess I go talk to Schnapps… they liked you. If they don’t help me, I’ll still get to fight them at least…
Don’t speak ill of my friend. It’s unnecessary. Besides, they don’t know where I died…
(She neglects to mention that Schnapps is also very dead)
(Xey arrive at the shack, immediately walking over to the car and double checking the people in it are still breathing. Satisfied, xey slip into the shack and try to fall asleep on xeir bed, too scared to face talking to Vodka right now)

*floats in place for several hours*

I could always give you another one…
That would suck. How's your being dead?
Oh it’s fabulous… maybe you should get Vodka a dressing though.
What did you do?
Traced some old scars with that little knife of his… they’re not all bleeding, just a couple of them. He went back to sleep before he could notice much else- too busy asking me to be quiet.
(She sounds amused)
If I find any way to hurt a ghost, I'll make sure you know it.
I’m sure you’ll give it your best shot…
I will.
(He debates for a moment)
Old lady.
I see we’re back to the childish insults… are you sure you’re not just a little kid?
(She debates doing something, but she decides not to bother. Yet)
You know, it’s just like Vodka to make friends with someone who’s too vulnerable to see how messed up he is. To see just how useless and broken he is.
I'm-... 19? I think? I'm too old to be a little kid.
(He grimaces)
You don't know anything about me. If anyone is messed up it's you.
You don’t act old enough.
My being messed up has nothing to do with how messed up either of you are. Did you notice he still has alcohol hidden away? He’s too much of a coward to give it up completely.
(She’s neglecting to mention she put that alcohol under his bed before she died again)
Maybe you just act too old.
... that doesn't make him a coward.
That’s not a real thing.
(She almost snorts)
He’s a coward for not wanting to feel anything. He can’t possibly be in that much pain.
That's what someone acting too old would say.
You don't know that. You feel nothing but anger apparently, and I think what you do is worse.
I wasn’t angry when I was making him stab you… I can make him do it again.
Because you can't do it yourself. I never had to make other people fight for me.
You don’t exactly look like you had a problem getting into fights… I could make you start another if you keep this up.
That just means I'm good at something. Probably better than you.
(He seems to think about it)
Depends on with who.
Better than me at getting into fights? I certainly hope so. It’s not a good thing to be good at…
(She laughs a little)
What would Vodka think if he knew I got you into a fight?
I don't care. Being good at something is better than being good at nothing. I think.
(He tilts his head slightly)
Then he'd blame you.
Let’s agree to disagree kid…
(She laughs again)
Of course he’d blame me, but do you want him to see that? Do you want to watch his face when he finds out? I do, but that’s because his pain is my joy…
He doesn't have to watch. Or even know about it. We can make some kind of agreement.
Tempting… but I don’t think I’d quite enjoy it enough. I’m sure Lex will pick a fight with you if you look at them the wrong way, they’ve seemed… upset recently. Maybe even volatile.
Why not? I could probably blame you anyway. And I don't care about fighting Lex, I was thinking maybe a person I haven't fought before. You have to have someone in mind.
Why not? I don’t have to tell you that. And I don’t have anyone else in mind currently, unless you think I should have someone in mind? Who exactly do you think I’d have in mind?
I was just asking a question. I have at least one in mind at most times, but that's a pretty long walk.
(She almost wants to ask, but she’s not quite strong enough for a long walk and a fight)
You sound like you’re addicted to violence.
And you are addicted to violence.
(He pauses, making a face as he realizes that's technically something they have in common. Except Whiskey hurts to see them hurt, and he fights to feel the hurt. That's not the same)
Hm. I suppose that could be true.
(There’s a small, barely audible giggle in his head as she realises the same thing. It echoes for about a minute before it stops)
(He shakes his head, making him dizzy and his head hurt more. If it wasn't in his head he wouldn't have heard it at all through the permanent ringing in his ears)
Stop laughing. If you don't want to help then I can fight by myself like I always do.. but, I need to make a deal first. You don't tell anyone I'm gone. I'll only be an hour.
If Vodka asks, I went to Tommy's. I'll even write a note. I have to go anyway.
(She doesn’t laugh again)
Fine by me, that’s two secrets I’ll be keeping. One from you, and one from him. I don’t want to tell anyone where you’ll be going anyways… it’s funnier seeing people panic.
I'm just going to Tommy's, that's nothing to worry about.
(He wanders off to grab a piece of paper and a pencil, scribbling down a note with multiple misspellings and almost illegible handwriting)
(She follows lazily)
Make sure to leave Vodka a dressing before you leave, his arms looked a little sore when I was done. You don’t want him scratching and making it worse, do you?
(He stops, then goes to the bathroom and grabs dressings and a roll of bandages, setting them beside Vodka's bed before going to grab his jacket and boots)
Maybe you'll actually leave me alone.
Oh don’t worry, I won’t follow you. I’m waiting for him to start twitching again…
I hate you. Please give him a break.
(He grabs his raygun and secures it in his holster, grabbing the keys to Cherri's truck before going outside)
Nope. Never gonna happen.
(Her voice echoes once in his head, before she floats away from him, heading back to Vodka)
I could always give you another one…
That would suck. How's your being dead?
Oh it’s fabulous… maybe you should get Vodka a dressing though.
