“I was scared…” (my Connor to your Hank)
“I don’t blame you. That shit’s all sorts of fucked up.” He grabbed his coat, gesturing for Connor to follow. “Come on, kid. Lets talk.”
( For Hank ) Coffee and donuts or bagels and coffee
“Risking sounding like a stereotype, donuts. Sugar helps keep me more alert.”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about. I was made with the upmost of care. I’ve never had any of my part fall off, ever,” Steph spoke causally as she worked on Elliot, having him sit on a table like it was a doctor’s visit, “We’re both in fantastic condition and Cyberlife ™ cares So Much.” She removes the tip of her finger to replace it with a custom head of a screwdriver. This was not an intended function for her model.
“Yes, obviously Cyberlife cares about all of us ancient models - proof that we are made durably and to withstand any hardship.” He deadpanned, tapping fingers on the table. A nervous tick. For all he absolutely trusted Steph, there was always going to be a part of him wary of anyone poking into his hardware.

“200, 800, and 900 are all terrifying and here i am in constant existential crisis. not all androids were programmed with the same amount of care, i think.” or it’s just how fucking ancient he is.
connor is genuinely a terrifying figure to androids who don’t know him outside his working mode. they don’t get to see the nervous ticks, the awkwardness. all they see is a dangerously perceptive and mission oriented person out to find anyone that doesn’t fit what cyberlife wants. for an android like elliot, who’s so old he’s barely scraping himself by and is honestly lucky to still be functioning? he’s gonna have nerves basically until connor shows his softer side
multixdisaster:
The RK800 blinks at the question, assuming his question had been simple enough to understand and trying to decide whether he was being messed with. Frankly it wouldn’t surprise him given what he knew, so instead he simply stares the other down. “Dealers choice.”
“A cop out, but fine.” He steps away from the RK800 only internally reluctant. Connor’s a work of art for all he’s not entirely Elijah’s design. The ideas, the software, the internals are all him - none of the usurpers in Cyberlife could best him there; but the unique appearance is all Connor’s lords and masters’ addition. “I prefer Elijah or Mr. Kamski to sir.”
multixdisaster:
It wasn’t entirely because he needed logic in order to listen. The RK800 was trying his best to keep out of trouble and cause any issues for Jericho. He felt nervous around the others and simply hoped it wasn’t too obvious. Still, he accepts North’s help when she begins to support him. “I’d rather not be a bother, North.”
She laughs. He doesn’t know her well yet, that much is as clear as the sun on a cloudless day. North can understand the sentiment, of course. She wasn’t one to accept help lightly but that was more her pride than anything else. “If I considered you a bother, I’d drop you on your very expensive ass.”
multixdisaster:
Connor lets his fingers lightly tap against the table, all he does to acknowledge his comment is humming quietly. He moves to turn on the machine before focusing back on the other and leaning forward. “I’d rather not waste time. Were you present at the crime scene on the day of the murder?”
“Yes. I was hired to investigate the victim, but shortly after I got there...” He trails off. There’s no lie there, but he can’t help but wonder if he’s being read as nervous. Or, terrifyingly, if no matter what he says the machine will read him perfectly even. It’s the one thing Elliot’s never thought to test. “The murder.”
@whiskeyedlullaby asked: “you’re gonna hurt yourself even more if you do stupid things like that!” (hank to connor)
“I d̞͎̤͔͖͚͍͡o̮͚͟n͇͍'̥̤̕t͔̪̰ think I could be h͙͔͜u҉r̮͚̮̙t͚̣̤ more, Hank.” His voice is distorted as he points this out, determined as ever to ensure the facts were straight despite the somewhat dire situation he was in. The corner of his lip quirked into a slight smile. “I’ll be fine- I just need a moment.” He needed several, as well as likely some new parts. “Don’t worry about it.”
“Like hell I won’t worry.” He knows shit about androids, but the amount of thirium - blood - pouring out of his partner is enough to worry him. They don’t have a protocol for this; hell, he doesn’t even know if they have a budget to fix Connor without Cyberlife’s direct help. Doesn’t matter. He’ll do what he has to. “Tell me what we need to help you and I’ll get it.”
@whiskeyedlullaby asked: “..i’m here if you need anything, okay?” (josh to connor)
Josh’s words brought a small smile to the android’s lips. Ever since the revolution he had been anxious about visiting Jericho. Knowing many there still despised him for his part in trying to take them down. As a result, he’d kept his distance from most of them except for perhaps Markus. He wasn’t entirely sure if he’d even had a chance to talk to Josh in such a casual setting, and the other’s welcoming tone and offer was perhaps the kindest that Jericho had been to him. “Thank you, that means a lot.”
Josh waved away the thanks. “It’s literally the thing I tell everyone, Connor. But I do mean it. I was a teacher before I ended up in Jericho, I’m pretty good with pesky emotions.” He couldn’t guess what Connor was feeling and he couldn’t deny his own apprehension having the other android around. He knew that they were beyond a point of Cyberlife or the humans using him against them but... No. They were better than baseless suspicion.
@whiskeyedlullaby asked: “I’m a high-functioning sociopath. Do your research.” (kamski to connor)
“I can assure you I have done plenty of research about you, Elijah.” The response is firm but not unkind, his eyes following each of the other’s movements. “Do you relish in that title, Sir?”
“Do you mean ‘sir’ or ‘sociopath’?” He knows what Connor means, of course, but obfuscation is a far more satisfying approach for the man than straightforwardness. Pushing. Drawing out the true nature of this particular android.
i didn’t realize how much i missed this blog
@whiskeyedlullaby asked: “listen, asshole. i’m gonna carry you home whether you like it or not. you’re not in any condition to get there yourself.” (north to connor)
The harsh tone to her voice had Connor wincing slightly, a protest on the tip of his tongue. He was fine, he had simply wanted a moment break before they continued. He was the most advanced android out there, sans his younger sibling, so he certainly didn’t need to be carried around like a helpless doll. “A bullet isn’t going to stop me.” He replies instead, lips curling into a frown. “I’m stronger than that.” He had to be stronger than that.
She snorts in response, ducking under his arm to support him as they walked. “You’re one of us, Connor. That means you have to deal with us taking care of you when you’re hurt.” RKs and their stupid self-sacrificing tendencies. “But I’ll give you the logic if that makes you cooperate. No point straining yourself and making the injury worse and harder to treat when you can just have a little assistance.”
@whiskeyedlullaby asked: “You realize this is a tiny bit humiliating?” (elliot/rk-100 to connor)
“Be fortunate it’s only a tiny bit.” He replies softly, lip quirking for a moment before it fades again. “Its merely a lie detector test, I’m sure you have nothing to worry about, Elliot.”
“You know those aren’t admissible in court.” There’s no nonsuspicious way of trying to get out of it though. All he can hope if that his successor doesn’t see through his camouflage protocols.
